A good restaurant always has a wait, right? 😆 Jjimgoeul Gajwa Branch has a separate waiting area set up for those in line. Since the original store is already famous, my expectations were high! 🤭 We visited right at opening time this day, so luckily we got to walk straight in without waiting at all. 🫶🏻

Being newly opened, the interior was really clean and tidy! 🧼 Everything was well organized and pleasant, so we could enjoy our meal comfortably throughout. 🌿 Eating delicious agujjim in such a clean space made for a pleasant meal. 😋

The tableware was also all clean and spotless, which I liked even more! ✨ Being a newly opened place, having even this level of detail managed so cleanly was extra satisfying~

How does the agujjim at Jjimgoeul Gajwa Branch taste?

Ahh, the agujjim finally arrived! 🔥 It's one of my true soul foods, so I'm pretty strict about the taste. And of course — Jjimgoeul delivered again! It was really delicious this time too. 😍

Plump, tender monkfish with crunchy bean sprouts! Combined with a spicy, savory sauce full of umami, it was perfect with rice. 🤤 The sauce wasn't just harshly spicy — it had a moderate heat with deep flavor, so I kept going back for more! There's a reason I used to visit the original store so often. 👏🏻

And when you put a piece of agujjim on top of white rice... 🍚 it's a total rice thief! 🤤 The spicy, savory sauce goes so well with rice that one order of agujjim alone finishes off a whole bowl of rice. 😋
