Dessert is one of the reasons I go to cafés! Enjoying a delicious bakery treat or dessert with coffee gives me such a healing feeling, so I often go hunting for good dessert cafés :)

This time I enjoyed fragrant coffee with delicious pie at Pulse Line Coffee, a café famous for its upscale pies!! Recommending a café near Seoul National University Station.

Brûlée pie vs crumble pie: what's the difference?

Here's the difference between brûlée pie and crumble pie! Crumble pie has caramel cream cheese inside and a crumbly, streusel-like crust, while brûlée pie has vanilla cream cheese inside and a top that's baked with melted sugar like a crème brûlée :)

Muffins and pound cakes at Pulse Line Coffee

The muffins come in yellow cheese, mulberry, and caramel varieties. The pound cakes come in two-berry and black sesame varieties. There was a good variety of pound cakes too.

The order: cream brûlée pie and an iced americano

There's also a wide range of coffee and drink menu items. What I ordered was one #IcedAmericano and one #CreamBruleePie, the signature item.

How does the cream brûlée pie taste?

The pie and americano I ordered :) A hint of coffee aroma wafting from the crema. Even iced, the coffee smelled so good. I bet it would be even more fragrant hot!! But since it was summer and hot out, I went with iced haha.

Like a crème brûlée, the top of the pie comes out beautifully browned haha.

A pie baked with sugar melted just right on top! It looked so delicious.

Pairing it with a cup of coffee haha. Sweet dessert and americano is the best combination.

The pie sliced cleanly and creamily, revealing plenty of moist cream cheese! And underneath there was a moist cookie layer, which made it even tastier.

The crisp-yet-moist cookie texture, the creamy cream cheese, and the caramelized sugar top — a perfect harmony!!
