Suwon Vietnamese restaurant for shredded-beef fried rice: Madam Hao
In short
Madam Hao is a Vietnamese restaurant near Ajou University Hospital in Suwon, Gyeonggi, on a rattan-lit side street off World Cup-ro 193beon-gil. The couple ordered bun cha (13,000 won) and beef fried rice with sigeumchi-like dried radish greens (12,000 won), enjoying charcoal-grilled meat and a rice dish packed with siraegi (dried radish greens). The tangy-sweet bun cha sauce was the highlight, making for a satisfying lunch for both of them.

An exotic mood and flavor that feels like a real local restaurant in Vietnam
The storefront and atmosphere

While deciding where to eat near Ajou University Hospital, I was drawn to Madam Hao, a clean, brand-new Vietnamese restaurant with a striking exotic mood. There's parking space beside the store — it's a bit tight, so if it's full, the public parking lot nearby is convenient.

The warm, cozy wood-toned atmosphere really stood out :) The space is spacious and comfortable, perfect for group gatherings or company dinners.

Whether it's a date near Ajou, a meal with friends, or a solo lunch, the vibe here works for all of it. The main hall is big and open, with another hall tucked inside it — the warm, cozy Vietnamese rattan lighting made the space really pretty.
Menu and prices

They serve a range of Vietnamese dishes that recreate the real local flavor — pho, bun cha (grilled pork with noodles), fried rice, and more.

For side dishes, there's:
- Cha gio (spring rolls) ₩12,000 / ₩8,000
- Half portion ₩8,000
- Vietnamese chicken salad ₩16,000
- Mango beef salad ₩16,000
- Mango shrimp salad ₩16,000
It really felt like eating at a local restaurant while traveling in Vietnam.

Shrimp chips came out before the ordered dishes arrived — salty and delicious :)
Bun cha (₩13,000) — charcoal-grilled meat and a tangy sauce

The bun cha I ordered ♡ Full bamboo and rattan tableware vibes~~

Meat with such a subtle, lovely charcoal grilled aroma.

Freshly fire-grilled, warm and delicious. Dipped into the sauce with noodles, cilantro, and lettuce, it's a Vietnamese dish that Koreans will really love.

My husband loved the bun cha here too.

For guests unfamiliar with Vietnamese food, there's a kind, easy-to-follow guide on how to eat it deliciously!

The tangy-sweet sauce is really the kick! Crisp vegetables, soft noodles, and meat carrying that fire-grilled charcoal aroma — the balance was so good.

You can add the sauces prepared on the table to your taste. Clean and simple~~~
Beef fried rice (₩12,000) — packed with siraegi

Pho or fried rice? After debating, I picked the beef fried rice. The plating was gorgeous and appetizing :) The rice, tinted yellow as if with turmeric and fluffy, already felt unique and healthy…

Beef fried rice loaded with siraegi (dried radish greens), which Koreans love — it felt like such a healthy dish! I took a big spoonful straight to my mouth haha. The balance between the tender beef and the siraegi was really good too. Perfect for a filling meal~
