An Euljiro restaurant with great atmosphere Contemporary dining A date spot: Pyu Euljiro
I went out to Myeongdong for the first time in a while. After wandering around looking at things, it turned into evening, so I decided to eat dinner at a nice restaurant in Euljiro. The place I found that evening was 'Pyu (PHEW) Euljiro,' an Euljiro restaurant.
The atmosphere was clean and sophisticated, and the space was spacious enough to chat comfortably over the meal — it seemed like it would work well as an Euljiro date spot or blind date place too.
They say PHEW means the 'sigh of relief' you breathe out when you set down a heavy body and mind for a moment amid a tense daily life. They've created a space where you can rest comfortably while eating in the middle of busy Euljiro, and visiting in person, I could really feel the meaning behind the name.
Pyu Euljiro hours, menu and how to book
Pyu Euljiro can be booked via Naver Reservation and Catch Table. It runs as an all-day lounge from 11am to 9pm with no break time.
Inside the 70-pyeong dining room in the middle of Euljiro
Pyu Euljiro is a contemporary dining restaurant of about 70 pyeong. The first thing I noticed walking in was that it was much bigger than expected. Unlike the busy streets of Euljiro outside, the inside felt open and calm.

The interior was clean and stylish, with soft lighting and comfortable seats — the atmosphere overall was really nice.

Since I'd made a reservation, there was a name card with my name on it waiting at the table. It seems like a small thing, but having my name prepared like that made me feel welcomed, and it made me happy.

The gaps between tables were also generous, which made it good for chatting over the meal, and combined with the atmosphere, I thought it would suit an Euljiro date or blind date spot well.
What we ordered at Pyu Euljiro and what it cost
Here's what I ordered at Pyu Euljiro that day.
- Garden tomato risotto ₩25,000
- Charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco ₩34,000
- Scent of First Love (Belgian wheat beer) ₩9,000
- Passion fruit ade ₩6,500
They say the menu at Pyu Euljiro, an Euljiro restaurant, skips harsh flourishes and instead brings out the natural scent and soft warmth of seasonal ingredients, letting the original flavor and aroma of the ingredients shine.

Pyu Euljiro isn't just about atmosphere — they also have a SHARE SET menu good for two people to enjoy together on an Euljiro date. It includes fresh salad, bisque pasta, charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco, crispy eggplant, and four seasons ice cream all in one set — a good menu for slowly chatting over a meal, like on an Euljiro date or blind date.

Beyond food, the drink menu was also varied. Coffee and tea, of course, plus ade, non-alcoholic drinks, beer and wine were all well stocked, so it was easy to pick something to match the meal. Good for coffee or tea after the meal, or wine or beer in the evening.
Charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco, 34,000 won: eat this first
Pyu Euljiro's charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco is ₩34,000. The octopus, carrying that charcoal scent, looked so appetizing that my hand went straight for it. But the staff kindly told me the octopus can get tough over time, so it's best to eat it first.

So I dug into the charcoal octopus before anything else.

The outside was grilled to a golden brown with a subtle charcoal aroma, and the octopus's chewy texture was great too. Paired with the romesco sauce that came with it, a spicy, nutty flavor was added that went well with the octopus.

The octopus was grilled golden on the outside while staying moist and soft inside. Paired with the spicy, nutty romesco sauce, it went quite well together. Thanks to the charcoal aroma, the flavor felt richer than eating the octopus plain. It seemed like a dish that would pair well with wine or one of Pyu Euljiro's signature drinks too.

Scent of First Love Belgian wheat beer, 9,000 won
I also ordered a beer that pairs well with the charcoal octopus and romesco. Since I tend to like wheat beers, I chose the Belgian-style wheat beer 'Scent of First Love.' It's a wheat beer with a subtle aroma, so it went well with the charcoal octopus too.

They say Scent of First Love is a world champion craft beer that has won 28 titles at international beer competitions. It's a Belgian-style wheat beer, ABV 5.4%, 500ml. It had the smooth taste characteristic of wheat beer with a subtle aroma added, and paired with the charcoal-scented octopus, it felt like it cleaned my palate. Good food really does need a cold beer alongside it.
How was the garden tomato risotto, 25,000 won?
Pyu Euljiro's garden tomato risotto is ₩25,000. It came topped with grilled vegetables, so it looked colorful and appetizing. The tomato's characteristic tanginess combined with the nutty, clean flavor of the grilled vegetables made it cleaner-tasting than I expected.

Rather than a risotto with an intense, harsh flavor, it was more of a style where the natural taste of the ingredients came through. It was warm and soft, and the barley grains had a nice pop of texture too.
I also ordered the passion fruit ade. Its colorful look was appetizing from the start, and it tasted refreshingly sweet-tart, going well alongside the tomato risotto too.
Parking and reservation tips for Pyu Euljiro
Parking is always a concern when visiting Euljiro by car, but Pyu Euljiro offered parking support, and it turns out this building's parking lot is one my friend often uses at a discounted rate through the Modu's Parking Lot app. If you're planning to visit by car, it might be worth checking the app in advance.
I'd also recommend visiting Pyu Euljiro with a reservation. The small detail of having your name ready at the reserved seat feels nice, and you get to eat comfortably without waiting.
Another advantage is not being rushed for time. Running as an all-day lounge from 11am to 9pm with no break time means you can enjoy coffee or a glass of wine after the meal in the same spot without hurrying.
How to get to Pyu Euljiro from Euljiro3-ga Station
Pyu Euljiro is at 1F, 102, 27 Mareunnae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. It's about a 5-minute walk from Exit 9 of Euljiro3-ga Station, on the first floor of the Tower107 building.
Is Pyu Euljiro worth it for a date dinner?
Visiting this time, Pyu Euljiro, an Euljiro restaurant, felt less like a place you simply eat and leave, and more like somewhere you can enjoy the food and the space together. In particular, the spacious, clean room and comfortable seating made it good for slowly eating a meal while chatting.
Above all, I liked being able to feel this relaxed an atmosphere in the middle of busy Euljiro. It's a place that suits looking for a slightly more atmospheric meal for a dinner appointment or date in Euljiro, so if you're looking for an Euljiro date spot, it's worth a visit. Personally, I also thought the clean atmosphere would make it a decent blind date spot in Euljiro.
Walking from Euljiro to Myeongdong after dinner

After finishing the meal at Pyu Euljiro, I'd also recommend continuing on a route from Euljiro to Myeongdong. After slowly taking in the retro atmosphere of the Euljiro restaurant alley, walking toward Myeongdong brings you into a completely different mood.
Once you reach Myeongdong, it's nice to stop by Myeongdong Cathedral for a short walk, and there's fun to be had wandering the streets of Myeongdong too. There are so many foreign tourists in Myeongdong in particular that walking the streets almost feels like being on an overseas trip.
Having a good dinner at an atmospheric Euljiro restaurant good for an Euljiro date, then continuing on to wander the alleys of Myeongdong and Myeongdong Cathedral, lets you enjoy both a meal and a stroll — it seems like a nice course for an Euljiro date too.
