Today I'm bringing you a great meeting spot near Sadang Station. Sadang is a transit hub where several subway lines cross, so it's a popular pick for wedding-invitation get-togethers, company dinners, or catching up with friends. But with so many restaurants around, it can be tough to figure out which one will give you a satisfying meal without any regrets.

Finding a place that's clean, spacious, and reliably delicious isn't easy. So today I'm telling you about a Sadang Station Chinese restaurant that solves this problem in one go — Baoro China!

Why Baoro China near Sadang Station works for group dinners and private-room gatherings

Baoro China is a Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor of 12-9 Bangbaecheon-ro, just a 2-minute walk from Sadang Station. It has both a spacious hall and a private room, so it can handle everything from big group dinners to small gatherings.

The first thing I noticed walking in was the unusual sense of openness. The tables are spaced generously and the hall itself is wide, so there was no cramped feeling at all.

Tight tables are uncomfortable for a large group dinner, but this place was pure comfort. And on top of that, there's a well-set-up private room where you can enjoy your meal away from the crowd.

How were the fresh-sirloin skewer sweet and sour pork and handmade fried dumplings?

What impressed me most at Baoro China was the signature fresh sirloin skewer sweet and sour pork. I ordered the handmade fried dumplings on the side to go with it.

I ordered a variety of dishes that day to try a bit of everything, and the standout was definitely the 'fresh sirloin skewer sweet and sour pork.'

Sweet and sour pork usually comes in small chunks, but here it's big fresh sirloin fried on a skewer, which makes it visually fun from the start too. The meat is really thick, so each bite has plenty to chew on and is packed with juice. The batter isn't overly thick either, so you can really taste the meat's own clean flavor.

The 'handmade fried dumplings' I ordered alongside didn't disappoint either.

They're on a completely different level from the usual mass-produced factory dumplings. Bite into the crispy fried skin and juicy filling bursts out. I'd highly recommend adding this as a side to whet your appetite before the main dishes.

Algoni jjamppong and fried-egg jjajangmyeon: how the noodle dishes tasted

For mains, I chose Baoro China's algoni jjamppong and jjajangmyeon. The algoni jjamppong was loaded generously with fish roe and soft roe, making it perfect as a hangover cure, and the jjajangmyeon came topped with a fried egg.

The 'algoni jjamppong' I picked as my main was a perfect choice for curing a hangover too.

It's generously loaded with roe, which makes the broth even deeper and more savory. The clean seafood flavor combined with the spicy, smoky char has a way of cutting through the greasiness typical of Chinese food.

If you usually enjoy roe stew, you'll be won over by this one for sure.

Jjajangmyeon topped with a fried egg

And on the 'jjajangmyeon,' a staple of any Chinese restaurant, there's a welcome fried egg carefully placed on top. Not many places add a fried egg these days, but when you break the savory yolk and mix it in with the rich black bean sauce and noodles, the flavor becomes even softer and richer. It's a classic taste that anyone, of any age, can enjoy without complaint.
