In short

Yahwa Honsulbar Euljiro 2nd Branch is a cocktail bar on Mareunnae-ro 2-gil, a short walk from Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul, built for solo drinkers and pairs. Over one evening the order was a peach crush and a gin tonic, truffle potato chips, pineapple sorbet, and cinnamon orange with chocolate, and every seat in the house was taken. With its wood interior and low lighting, Yahwa feels like a hideout made for long, quiet conversations over drinks.

After a great dinner with a friend, I was craving cocktails and somewhere good to chat, so I headed to Yahwa Honsulbar (야화 혼술바) Euljiro 2nd Branch!! It's right by Euljiro 3-ga Station so the location is great haha.

There were so many guests it was completely full, wow. Turns out Yahwa Euljiro 2nd Branch is a really popular honsulbar — apparently the original location was so popular they opened this second branch too haha.

Crocodile toy on the table with complimentary chicken drumstick-shaped crackers

The little crocodile toy on the table is always fun haha. The complimentary snack, chicken drumstick-shaped crackers, was crunchy and savory so my hand kept reaching for it, again and again ~

The vibe is pretty, and the space is wide and comfortable ~ the lighting fixtures are pretty too, and even the candle details are nice. Water is set out so you can easily pour yourself a glass haha.

We ordered a peach crush and a gin tonic ~ the glasses were pretty too haha. It's a great space for chatting ~ spacious, comfortable, and the wood interior gives off such a warm, cozy mood, that helps a lot too haha. Once you finish the cocktail, eating the leftover ice is heaven haha. I know too much ice isn't great for you, but why do I love it so much?? Even I question my own health anxiety lol.

Truffle potato chips, pineapple sorbet and chocolate: the snack lineup

The truffle potato chips are so good ~ salty in a way that keeps your hand reaching for more haha. Pineapple sorbet is just... amazing, honestly. After the meal I was craving dessert so I ordered it. Someone like me who loves ice cream, sorbet, and gelato basically ate the whole thing myself lol. As always, it was delicious haha.

And the quiet star of the night was chocolate with pineapple sorbet! The sweetness of the chocolate plus the tang of the pineapple together, and suddenly your mouth turns into a tropical vacation 🏝️ Sweet but not heavy, tangy but balanced out by the chocolate — perfect to eat between sips of cocktail. It felt like sneaking into a dimly lit hideout at night, the perfect setting for quiet chats with a friend over drinks.

Cheers ~ I didn't try the gin tonic so I can't say how it tastes haha. I went with the sweet and tangy peach crush ~ gin tonic 🍸 peach crush 🍑, two totally opposite-character drinks lol. Clean and bitter gin tonic versus sweet, peach-scented peach crush. My friend and I ordered different ones thinking we'd trade sips, but just hearing the words 'gin tonic' made it sound strong so I couldn't drink it 🥺 though of course, Jin oppa from BTS, always 💗.

Plate of cinnamon orange and chocolate snacks
Truffle potato chips paired with cinnamon orange and chocolate

The truffle potato chips, cinnamon orange, and chocolate were all so good haha. The truffle potato chips are great for light snacking! Crispy chips with a subtle truffle aroma rising up — take a sip of cocktail, grab a chip, chat, grab another chip, and that's the addictive taste right there. Before you know it, the bowl is empty. The most dangerous snack... haha. Basically responsible for my belly fat!!! (I really need to diet ㅠㅠ)

Sweet and tangy orange ~ honestly I'm a cinnamon-hater so I prefer honey orange (whispering) - tmi - But orange is love no matter when you eat it!!!

And last up, cinnamon orange 🍊 The tang of the orange plus a hint of cinnamon, and suddenly a plain orange feels like a fancy dessert! Fragrant but not overwhelming, great for popping one after another while drinking. It also paired really well with the chocolate haha. Fun whether you come alone or with a friend — come check out Yahwa Honsulbar for yourself ~
