I booked a dye and clinic session! After confirming my reservation, I waited a bit, then they brought out a color book to pick a shade. Since my hair was blotchy overall, we decided to tone it down a bit to even things out!

How does the scalp diagnosis before dyeing work?

At VOG Hair Changwon City Seven Branch, they started with a scalp diagnosis before applying any dye. Rather than just changing the color, they first checked the current condition of my scalp and hair and confirmed what overall look I wanted.

Zoomed in, you could see some thin strands mixed in here and there, but thankfully they said there was no major issue with my scalp or hair overall. (My hair is thin all over though,, 🥹)

I especially tend to look frizzy right away whenever my hair gets damaged, so I really wanted to avoid my hair drying out too much after dyeing. So this time I decided to get a hair clinic treatment together with the dye.

I usually get self-conscious about my hair texture after dyeing, but this time, checking my hair condition first before starting made me feel a lot more at ease going into the treatment.

Choosing an aroma oil and the drink service

Before the treatment started, they let me pick one of three aroma oils to help me relax.

Drinks like Americano and green tea were also available — I just had to pick one and they brought it right over :)

Tone-down dye and hair clinic in one visit: the result

They applied the dye carefully and kept checking in while I waited to see if anything felt uncomfortable. Sitting through a long dye job at a salon can get boring, but the relaxed overall atmosphere made it easy to get through the treatment without stress.

The clinic treatment feeds nutrients into the hair while caring for the frizziness that dyeing can cause, so I think it's great to pair it with dyeing both before and after. After doing the dye and clinic together, my hair felt much calmer and softer to the touch — I was glad I decided to do both at once.

With the clinic added in, my hair definitely felt calmer overall with no stiffness by the time it was finished ☺️ For people like me who dye their hair often, I think it's worth paying attention not just to the color but to the overall condition of your hair too.

After the dye was done and my hair was dried, I checked the overall color, and it turned out more naturally toned-down than I expected, which I really liked.

I used to be bothered by how my hair color would look different in patches as it faded, but with the tone evened out overall, it looked so much cleaner.
