I got a blunt bob cut and a botox perm (magic straightening) at VOG HAIR, a hair salon in City Seven, Changwon. Yes, I'm back... the one obsessed with bobs... ✂️

Since my wedding ceremony ended in May last year, I've had a bob cut + volume magic, magic straightening, or a perm a whopping six times in 16 months hahahahaha...

VOG HAIR Changwon City Seven Branch is located on the 3rd floor of City Seven. It's in Daewon-dong, but Bonggok-dong, Myeongseo-dong, and Palyong-dong are all nearby too, so I'd recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a salon that's good at women's cuts and blunt bobs!

Plus, since it's in the City Seven building, the parking lot is huge and convenient, which I loved... >_<

Inside VOG HAIR, the hair salon on City Seven's 3rd floor

Here are some interior shots of VOG HAIR 📸 It's really spacious and comfortable! There's plenty of waiting space near the treatment chairs, and also in front of the desk as shown in the photo. Every staff member I passed greeted me kindly, which I really appreciated haha.

There was even more space further in, but a lot of other customers were getting treatments so I tried to avoid them in my photos (haha). The shampoo room had massage chairs, and overall the place had a clean yet cozy vibe, so I felt very comfortable the whole time I was there.

My hair is short but not in the best condition due to frequent perms and straightening, so designer Chaeyeon told me about various clinic treatments available (no pressure ❌). Why the tassel cut became a blunt bob plus magic straightening

I booked with designer Chaeyeon at VOG HAIR! Honestly, I didn't really know what was what, so I booked what seemed closest — a tassel cut. But after the consultation, once she pinpointed exactly the style I wanted, we decided on a blunt bob + magic straightening instead of a tassel cut!!!!!!

Chaeyeon's consultation is so thorough... She goes through different reference photos with you and explains all the differences between cuts and curls!!! (Which was extra reassuring for someone as clueless as me...) Once the style is decided, she carefully walks you through which products will be used, the effects, and the price for each treatment, which made it much easier to choose >_<

Since I've messed with my hair way too much, I decided to go with the relatively gentler botox perm this time, so I could leave it alone and let it grow for a while after this straightening.

From scalp diagnosis to straightening iron: how the treatment went

Before starting, she does a scalp diagnosis! Depending on scalp condition, she recommends certain products, or leaves a gap from the scalp during application — it really felt like she was finding the treatment that would put the least strain on the scalp and hair, which I loved.

The photo above is right after just the bob cut at VOG HAIR! I didn't take a photo before the cut... I really, really didn't like it, so on days I wore it down I'd always use a flat iron... or just do a half-up style... (my hair was seriously sticking out everywhere...)

And while waiting after the softening agent was applied, I sipped the iced Americano Chaeyeon got me and played Mapleland on my phone... haha

After softening comes the most important part... time to pull it straight with the flat iron!!! The style I wanted didn't curl inward at the ends, didn't flick outward either — just a clean, straight-cut blunt bob, ha...

The photo above is right after all the straightening was done 📸 Chaeyeon, thank you so much for the hard work!!!!! After that comes the neutralizing step, then off to the shampoo room to finish.

After the shampoo, she uses aroma oil to massage the scalp, back of the neck, and trapezius — it felt so good I got goosebumps... amazing...
