VOG HAIR Changwon City Seven Branch is on the 3rd floor of The City Seven Skycon, and you can use the building parking lot for free. VOG HAIR has both a front door and a back door, which can be a bit confusing, so just take whichever way is easier for you — the front door is right there if you go straight through the alley next to Cheongnyeon Dabang.

The parking lot is very spacious so you don't need to worry about finding a spot, but there are two lots, P1 and P2, separated, so I really recommend checking exactly where you parked ~ otherwise you might get lost like I did . . 😅 The salon said the easiest way to get there is to take elevator No. 4 or 5!

Consultation: straightening before dyeing, ₩350,000 in total

The treatment I got at VOG HAIR Changwon City Seven Branch was basic magic straightening + botox perm + length add-on L, totaling ₩350,000. At VOG HAIR you fill out a visit chart and go through a thorough consultation with the designer about the hairstyle you want before the treatment starts.

I had dyed my hair last week, and when I said I wanted to get a straightening treatment this time, they told me that doing straightening after dyeing makes the color fade. Apparently the correct order is straightening first, then dyeing ~ if you're thinking about getting both done, this might be good to keep in mind.

To minimize damage, I decided to get a botox perm done together with it, and they went over all the pricing for the regular straightening and length add-on while filling out the chart and consulting, which felt reassuring and easy. (I think they said the botox perm is a special treatment that keeps hair less damaged and bouncier!)

It was my first time getting a scalp diagnosis — my scalp condition turned out to be pretty good, but they said it would be good to get a scalp clinic once in a while to remove the protein buildup clogging the pores. Apparently regular shampoo can't remove that protein buildup? Anyway, I decided I'd try scalp care another time ~

The chairs in the shampoo room are massage chairs 🤩 (while my hair was neutralizing after the straightening treatment, I lay here getting a massage for about 5 minutes and it was pure bliss!)

How the magic straightening and aroma ritual went

They gave me tea and a simple snack too. Sipping green tea and scrolling on my phone, the waiting time flew by ~

And then the stylists worked hard pulling my hair straight with the straightening iron ~

In the middle, there was something called an aroma ritual where you pick an oil you like and get a light massage from scalp to shoulders! I chose rosemary oil, and the designer had really strong hands so for that moment it was so refreshing and healing ~

Semi-wavy hair after two and a half hours: the result

After about two and a half hours, the straightening was done - ! I have semi-wavy hair and get it straightened once a year on a regular cycle, and it was exactly the right time again — my hair had gotten frizzy and a bit messy ~ Now it's so neat. My hair lying so flat still feels a bit strange, but it's calmed down and I'm really satisfied with it 🙂

I got my straightening treatment from Chaeyeon, the top designer, who gave a really thorough consultation and made the whole process comfortable!
