Changwon hair salon mint brown tone-down dye over orange fade: VOG

My chestnut-orange hair, ugh ㅠㅠ It was clearly time for a dye job. Because of my personal color, I'd only ever done red-toned dyes, but this fall I went to VOG HAIR at City Seven and let Deputy Director Yujeong give me a mint brown tone-down color + nano heal clinic + layered cut. Here's the story!

Finding VOG HAIR Changwon City Seven Branch

📍Location: 3rd floor, The City Seven Sky-con, 320 Wonyi-daero, Seongsan-gu, Changwon. Between the mala tang restaurant and Cheongnyeon Dabang. 🕖10:00–21:00, closed Mondays.

You need to head toward the 'Sky-con' side of the 3rd floor. City Seven is huge so it's easy to get lost, but if you stand with your back to the CGV on the 3rd floor and walk straight, VOG HAIR is tucked between the mala tang place and Cheongnyeon Dabang! Just park underground 🅿️

There's even a separate skybridge leading to the Sky-con side, so VOG HAIR Changwon City Seven Branch feels like its own private space ⭐️

Interior and waiting area

Once you step inside, it's pretty spacious. The waiting area is clean too, and as an award-winning shop in the 2025 Popular Style Awards perm category, there were lots of skilled stylists and plenty of roomy, comfortable seats.

Consultation, chart, and pricing upfront

After a short wait, Deputy Director Yujeong came over and walked me through style options and explained the treatment I wanted.

✔️ To fix the chestnut-orange color, I decided on a mint brown tone-down dye plus a layered cut, along with a nano heal clinic done alongside the color to prevent damage. She filled out the chart and went over pricing with me at the same time, so I knew the cost upfront with no surprises.

I'd gotten a clinic treatment a month earlier, so I was worried the color wouldn't take, but she said VOG HAIR's clinic is actually meant to be done together with the dye job. All my worries about damage disappeared 🤪

My roots had grown out into two-toned, chestnut-orange hair ㅠㅠ The orange tint made it look even more damaged.

She compared normal scalp vs. problem scalp, showed me my oil levels, and explained the T-zone.

My scalp turned out to be normal, though she mentioned some strands had thinned, so I should probably get a scalp scaling at year-end,,

After a two-toned, red-based dye job, my hair always fades into this orange state ㅠㅠ Deputy Director Yujeong basically performed CPR on it.

Explaining the clinic treatment

She first explained the nano heal clinic step by step — true to the name, super-fine particles soak into the hair, replenishing protein and preventing damage.

She generously sprayed it all over my frizzy hair. It smelled great and felt moisturizing,, I have a lot of hair, and she still sectioned it out carefully, which I really appreciated ㅠㅠ

To neutralize the orange and red tones, Deputy Director Yujeong mixed in green tones too! She applied it generously without holding back.

Her hands are seriously fast. Even with my thick head of hair, she sectioned it smoothly without any tangling and brushed on the color quickly. A true master at work.

After processing, Teacher Yuhyeon came back for the second clinic step, lightly wiping off some of the dye and reapplying nutrients to the hair.

Meticulous technique. She explained everything thoroughly while working — why each step was needed and what effect it had. A genuinely informative time haha.

Massage-chair shampoo bowl and aroma ritual

If you get a clinic treatment, you can wash your hair in the massage chair ⭐️ This is seriously amazing. It's a magic trick,, lying fully back while it kneads and taps your back, shoulders, waist, and legs — that's VOG HAIR's shampoo room. **The massage-chair shampoo bowl is only available with clinic/scalp-related services!! The staff kept checking the water temperature and asking if anything itched or if any spot wasn't rinsed — so kind 🔥

What's amazing about VOG HAIR is that after the shampoo, they do an aroma ritual — you pick one oil, and they massage your neck, shoulders, and scalp with it,, I felt totally pampered. Other salons don't have this kind of therapy, right? I was so touched ㅠㅠ

Even the blow-dry was thorough! Since the mint brown color I got is sensitive to heat, she gave extra instructions to dry it with cool air, which made me trust the place even more 👍🏻 She also did the layered cut afterward. I couldn't take photos during the cut since her hands were in the way ㅠㅠ I asked her to just tidy it up a little and clean up the face-framing layers.

Ta-da! The length is barely changed — just the color, clinic, and a light layered tidy-up — but my hair and overall vibe feel so much calmer 🍂 Total autumn feels lol 👀 I loved it so much.
