I was out and about near Anguk after a while, and suddenly I was craving a really good pizza. I'd had my eye on Low Five Anguk for a while, so I booked ahead through CatchTable and headed over!

Honestly, that day I just really wanted pizza — and it turned out to be a total win, haha.

We kept saying "they really know how to cook here" as we worked through each dish. Not just the pizza, but the pasta and the kimchi fried rice were all delicious too — the whole meal came together really well.
Inside Low Five Anguk: a spacious, easy dining room near Anguk Station
Low Five Anguk is easy to find — just walk straight from Anguk Station Exit 2 and turn into one alley. We visited at 6:20pm. It wasn't full when we arrived, but customers kept streaming in the whole time we ate. I had no idea there was a pizza place with this much space around Anguk — the open interior felt much more relaxed than I expected, haha.

The place has this green-and-red Italian restaurant vibe. The colors are pretty enough for photos, and it gave me a little "I'm on a trip" feeling for a moment. Super easy to find too.
Half-and-half pizza at Low Five Anguk: how crisp is the wood-fired dough?
We went with Low Five Anguk's half-and-half pizza for 26,000 won so we could try two flavors — a Tex-Mex taco pizza and corn pizza combo. You can tell from the look alone that it's straight out of the wood oven, haha.

The pizza arrived piping hot, which I loved. Since it's fresh out of the wood oven, the crust was crispy all the way to the edge — that's the part I personally really appreciated.

Even without toppings like extra cheese or sweet potato mousse, the dough itself was tasty enough to keep reaching for. The corn pizza I'd been looking forward to especially delivered — the corn's signature sweetness paired really well with the cheese. The corn's texture was fun to bite into, giving both a sweet and savory flavor at once.

The taco pizza on the other side had a slight kick, so switching back and forth between the two kept things from getting boring.

There were big chunks of shrimp on top too, giving it a satisfying bite and a sense that they didn't skimp on ingredients. If you're going with two people, I'd recommend the half-and-half like we did rather than picking just one flavor!
Two side dishes that beat expectations at Low Five Anguk

Besides pizza, we also ordered the Alfredo cream pasta for 18,000 won and the kimchi fried rice. Surprisingly, my sister's favorite dish of the meal was this cream pasta, haha.
Alfredo cream pasta, 18,000 won

My sister doesn't usually go for pasta, but she kept saying "this pasta is actually so good" as we ate. The cream sauce wasn't too heavy or salty.

Thick, generous chunks of meat gave it a satisfying bite, and the sauce coated the noodles nicely. There was a good amount of squid and shrimp mixed in too, so eating through all the different ingredients together was really enjoyable.

Eating the pizza and pasta together, the soft richness of the cream pasta paired perfectly with the pizza's spiciness.
Avocado kimchi fried rice, 14,000 won

The avocado kimchi fried rice we also ordered, 14,000 won, surprised me with how generous the portion was. It came topped with a pretty egg and a big serving of avocado on the side.

I'm not great with spicy food so I was a bit worried, but thankfully it wasn't spicy at all and had a slight sweetness, making it easy to eat between bites of pizza and pasta.
The softness of the avocado tames the kimchi flavor nicely.

Self-serve bar and what to check before your Bukchon dinner

There's a self-serve station in the middle of the restaurant with cheese powder and sauces you can help yourself to as much as you like. Water and wet wipes were also thoughtfully set out for easy access.
That said, it's a popular spot so there may be a wait — anyone planning to visit should check CatchTable availability ahead of time. That's my tip!

There are baskets in the back for storing your bags conveniently,

and the restroom inside was kept clean too — you can really feel how much thought went into looking after guests.
