Gangnam restaurant date with Hanwoo steak: Awesome Rose

While looking for a restaurant for a date near Garosu-gil by Sinsa Station, I visited Awesome Rose Garosu-gil Branch (어썸로즈 가로수길점). I ate Hanwoo Rose Steak and Rose Caprese in a space decorated around a rose theme, then unexpectedly received a rose as I left after the meal.

What was the atmosphere like for a date?

There were rose decorations and pink accents throughout the restaurant. From the name to the interior, the rose theme continued clearly, giving the space a distinct character.

The lighting was soft and slightly dim. It went well with the rose decorations and made the space good for taking photos, and I think the atmosphere would come through even more in the evening. To me, it felt more suited to a date, first date, or anniversary meal than a casual meal with friends.

How did we order, and what did we choose?

After sitting down, we scanned the QR code on the table to check the menu and order from our phones. We looked through the menu at a relaxed pace and chose what we wanted to eat.

There were set menus, but we ordered Hanwoo Rose Steak and Rose Caprese separately.

How was the Hanwoo Rose Steak with its sides?

The Hanwoo Rose Steak came with grilled vegetables. The meat was a good thickness and easy to cut and eat, with a tender texture and the distinctive flavor of beef.

The steak was good on its own, but the combination worked well with the grilled vegetables served alongside it. Eating it in a rose-decorated space also made the meal feel a little more special.

I thought it would work well as the main dish for a date meal, giving you time to talk while eating slowly.

Did the Rose Caprese pair well with the steak?

Rose Caprese combined tomatoes and cheese, with a rose placed in the center. The rose detail continued onto the food, so I found myself taking a photo before eating.

The tomatoes were fresh and tangy, while the cheese was soft and pleasantly savory. It was good to have alongside the steak, so I felt ordering both was the right choice.

What stood out after the meal?

The atmosphere of the space stayed with me along with the food. The soft lighting and rose decorations throughout made me feel as though I had come for a meal on a special occasion.

When I visited, a staff member gave us one rose per person as we left after finishing our meal. It was an unexpected gift, and it put me in a good mood.

I found it memorable that the roses continued from the interior to the food and finally to the parting gift. I also took one photo on the way out.
