While traveling around Jeju, I was looking for a café to rest at after seeing Jeongbang Waterfall, and that's how I found Forest Jeongbang! It's a great spot to stop by after sightseeing at Jeongbang Waterfall. Once I actually visited, the wide-open ocean view was honestly gorgeous. They have coffee and desserts, but also sandwiches, so it was great for a simple meal too. Let me tell you about Forest Jeongbang, a café near Jeongbang Waterfall :)

Forest Jeongbang after Jeongbang Waterfall: where do you park?

Forest Jeongbang is a two-story café just a short drive from Jeongbang Waterfall. There's a dedicated parking space on one side of the café, so it was convenient to visit by car. When traveling around Jeju, you often move between sights by car, so having somewhere to park was definitely a relief.

When I arrived at the entrance, some cute figurines caught my eye first! Foreign tourists were taking photos there, so I couldn't just walk past either — I snapped a shot myself. There was already some fun in taking photos before even stepping into the café.

An open ocean view from the first floor of Forest Jeongbang

The first floor of Forest Jeongbang has huge floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can see the sea right from your seat. I looked around the first floor first when I walked in, and the view through the windows was really lovely. Thanks to the big windows, the interior never felt stuffy — the whole space felt open and airy.

Since I'd come all the way to Jeju, being able to look at the sea even inside a café really made it feel like a proper trip. Just sitting by the window with one cup of coffee felt healing! So if you're looking for a café near Jeongbang Waterfall and care not just about the food and coffee but the view too, I think you'll love this place.

Can you bring your dog to this Seogwipo café?

Forest Jeongbang is a dog-friendly café in Seogwipo where you can bring your dog inside. One thing that stood out was how many guests came with their dogs. When I visited, I saw customers relaxing with their pets. There were also baby chairs prepared for families visiting with kids, so it seemed like a great spot for family visits too.

Why the second-floor terrace ocean view is worth the stairs

If you go to Forest Jeongbang, definitely head up to the second-floor terrace! After checking out the first floor, I went up to the second floor. The weather was great the day I visited, so the moment I stepped onto the terrace, I was amazed. The ocean view stretching out in front of me was seriously incredible!

The blue sea and Jeju scenery came into view all at once, and seeing it in person was so much better than any photo. The interior is also lined with big windows, so it feels open no matter where you sit, and you can enjoy the outdoor view. On a nice day, having a cup of coffee on the terrace while looking at the Jeju sea would be amazing.

Forest Jeongbang menu: coffee, sandwiches and handmade rice cake

Forest Jeongbang's menu has coffee and drinks, plus teas, sandwiches, and handmade rice cake. Looking through the menu, there were more options than I expected. In particular, there were sandwich + coffee sets and cake + coffee sets, which made choosing easy. A solid combo if you get hungry mid-trip and want a simple meal plus coffee in one go!!

What we ordered at Forest Jeongbang

I ordered the chicken breast sandwich, the Udo peanut rice cake, and an Americano.

Chicken breast sandwich, rice cake, and Americano laid out on the table

The chicken breast sandwich

I sat down at a table with a great view and tried the sandwich first. It was packed with tomato and chicken breast, so it was more filling than I expected. When you're sightseeing, you sometimes get hungry at an awkward time, and this was exactly right for a simple meal. Not too heavy, and it went well with coffee.

Nutty Udo peanut rice cake

Since I was in Jeju, I wanted a dessert with that Jeju feel!! So I got the Udo peanut rice cake. The nutty peanut flavor was great, and being a rice cake, it felt light and easy to eat. It paired especially well with the Americano. A bite of the sweet, nutty cake followed by a sip of Americano — perfect!

An Americano with thick crema, plus the sea view

The Americano had a good amount of crema on top, so it looked great even before tasting it. And what I loved most was sipping coffee while gazing at the Jeju ocean view!

The weather was so nice that day, and sitting facing the window, I felt all the fatigue from sightseeing melt away. A café where you come in for one cup of coffee and end up wanting to stay much longer than expected!!
