The weather's been cool and nice lately so I've been hanging out in Sangbong a lot, and this time I was craving pork belly, so I visited a place I want to introduce. This is a well-known Sangbong Station pork belly restaurant that every local seems to know, and I only just got around to visiting it myself.

Where is Super Naengsam Sangbong Main Branch, and what are its hours?
Super Naengsam Sangbong Main Branch sits right on the main street of the Sangbong Station food alley, so it was easy to find, and thanks to the big sign, even first-time visitors could spot it right away. Out front there's a sign reading frozen pork belly ₩9,900, so it's a wallet-friendly Sangbong Station restaurant.

Sangbong Super Naengsam is open every day, from 14:30 to 23:00. I went for a late lunch, and frozen pork belly is always exciting no matter when you eat it, haha.

This place was certified as a food-safety establishment, which made me even more comfortable visiting this Sangbong Station pork belly restaurant.

Inside Super Naengsam: a wide hall for work dinners and family meals
Walking into Super Naengsam Sangbong Main Branch, I found a clean, spacious dining hall — great for groups, work dinners, or gatherings. There are baby chairs too, so it works for family outings, and it's also a good spot for couples or friends to grab drinks or a meal — a solid Sangbong frozen pork belly spot.

Menu and prices: frozen pork belly at 9,900 won, from 3 servings
Let's take a look at the menu. Since this is a frozen pork belly specialist, the main item is just the one — frozen pork belly — and the minimum order is 3 servings! Even for two people, 3 servings was plenty, and there were plenty of side dishes to enjoy alongside the pork belly. Great value, this Sangbong Station pork belly place!

On the wall was Super Naengsam's five commandments, which were basically tips for eating frozen pork belly at its best, haha. So I grilled up kimchi and bean sprouts too, and piled on the pepper to enjoy the pork belly.

Another charm of Super Naengsam is the Han River ramyeon — these days it feels off if a restaurant doesn't have it, right? >_<!! This Sangbong Station spot has it too, perfect for when you're 2% short of full. There were several ramyeon options, so there's something for everyone's taste.

Side dishes and three servings of frozen pork belly
Once we ordered 3 servings of frozen pork belly, the basic side dishes were set up quickly — bean sprouts, kimchi, lettuce, scallion salad, onion soy sauce, and minari (water celery). You all know grilling the minari along with the meat is the move, right? Haha.

The 3 servings of frozen pork belly arrived at this Sangbong pork belly spot. It came with mushrooms to grill, and beyond the king oyster mushrooms, the self-service corner also had enoki mushrooms — great for grilling up a mushroom feast too.
They placed the frozen pork belly straight onto the heated grill for us. Pepper was showered generously over the sizzling meat — the pepper is honestly part of the charm of frozen pork belly, and they were generous with it without being asked, haha.

Frozen pork belly with a bite of cartilage in every cut
So this is the full Sangbong pork belly spread! We also added a bowl of rice and the stew >_<!!
The well-cooked meat got flipped, and I was happy to find a bit of cartilage in each piece of pork belly! I regularly enjoy eating cartilage, so it added a nice chew and tasted great >_<!! On the grill we cooked up kimchi, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and garlic too, and ate it all with total enthusiasm.

The pork belly slowly cooking to perfection! Get delicious, little pieces of meat, haha.

The 5,000 won soybean paste stew and its big tofu chunks
While the meat was grilling, the soybean paste stew arrived. It was only ₩5,000, but look at the tofu game! Big chunky pieces of tofu were packed in, the broth was rich, and honestly this alone could finish off a bowl of rice, haha. Next time I need to try the kimchi jjigae and sundubu jjigae too!

I tried the well-cooked meat with minari and scallion salad! The minari's aroma spread through my mouth and paired perfectly with the meat — I was so glad I finally visited this Sangbong Station pork belly restaurant. I'd always just walked past it before, so I'm kicking myself for coming so late,,!

After finishing off the first batch of grilled pork belly, they grilled up another round for us >_<!!
I also grabbed some sesame oil salt sauce and dipped the meat in it like this — you can grab more from the self-service corner whenever you run low, which was really convenient. That's my review of a delicious meal at Sangbong Super Naengsam — if you're craving frozen pork belly today, I'd recommend this Sangbong Station pork belly spot, Super Naengsam. So go enjoy some Super Naengsam today too!
