Four-generation family brunch: house salad at Famous Benny, Gwangalli
In short
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is a two-floor brunch café in Suyeong, Busan, near Gwangalli Beach. A mother, sister, and daughter shared French toast, the salmon-topped Famous Benny, avocado toast, and a house salad with drip coffee, all plated generously with berries and edible flowers. It's a solid family outing that pairs well with a walk along Gwangalli Beach afterward.

On a weekend morning, my mom, sister, and I made a spontaneous trip to Gwangalli, all four of us together!

The weather was great, and the place we headed to for brunch together was none other than Famous Benny, well known as a Gwangalli brunch spot!!

I don't usually love brunch, but this place completely won me over.

Location and parking at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch

Open daily 08:00–18:00 (last order 17:00)
There's no dedicated parking lot, but we used the parking lot next to the shop. It was ₩4,000 an hour, but I felt at ease knowing the car was safely parked.
Two floors, floor-to-ceiling windows — every seat is a photo spot
The moment the door opened, it was so pretty I let out a "wow." It felt less like a café and more like a hip restaurant!
The interior tones were so lovely I was busy taking photos the whole time.
It's split into a 1st floor and 2nd floor, and each floor had its own vibe, which made it fun.
Sunlight poured in through the huge windows, so no matter where you sat, it was a photo op.

What the four of us ordered, and the prices
To sum up everything we ordered:
- French toast ₩17,000
- The Famous Benny +salmon ₩18,000
- Avocado toast ₩16,000
- House salad ₩12,000
- Drip coffee Hot Ethiopia ₩8,000
- Drip coffee Ice Colombia ₩8,000
- Iced café latte ₩6,000
We really went all out with our order!

Sharing between the four of us meant generous portions and a chance to taste a bit of everything, which was so much better haha.

Total pro tip: order the salmon dish together with the avocado toast and split them both — it makes the ultimate combo!!
Every dish was plated so beautifully that we snapped photos before eating!

Plating that doesn't skimp on ingredients
But the real shocker was this — blueberries, raspberries, wild raspberries, macadamias, granola...

They really piled the ingredients on generously!!

There were even edible flowers on top, giving it a totally upscale brunch feel.

The Famous Benny +salmon
First, let me introduce The Famous Benny — a croissant topped with poached egg and salmon. The moment you break that poached egg, it's already a win lol. The savory and salty flavors balanced perfectly, so I kept going back for more.
Avocado toast
The avocado toast was a real dark horse!!

There was so much avocado piled on, and the soft, melting texture was pure art.

It came with fresh vegetables on the side, so there wasn't any greasiness at all.
House salad and French toast
The house salad isn't just a plain salad either. Seeing the blueberries, raspberries, and wild raspberries on top, I thought it was a dessert.

The French toast wasn't too sweet — just the right level of sweetness that keeps you thinking about it!

It made me wonder how something this healthy could taste this good — all four of us ate happily. And the staff were super kind and attentive, which made me feel great too.
When's the best time to go
With the weather cooling down these days, it was the perfect outing course!

In summer, I imagine cool drinks and salads would suit it well,

and once it gets chilly, warm drip coffee paired with brunch would be a perfect match!

Going early on a weekend morning meant fewer people, so we could enjoy it at ease. It's near Gwangalli Beach, so getting there by public transit is easy too. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, so I'd recommend giving yourself extra time! I'd love to come back once the weather cools down even more.

🚗 Nearby outing course
After eating, we walked all the way to Gwangalli Beach. Strolling along while looking at the sea helped digestion and was total healing! There are lots of cute little shops and cafés nearby too, so it's great for spending the whole day. It suits family outings, friend hangouts, or dates equally well!
For anyone looking for a brunch place that really doesn't skimp on ingredients, I highly recommend this one! Considering the quality of ingredients, the prices didn't feel expensive at all, and the portions were generous. Everyone ate happily at this Gwangalli favorite haha. There are plenty of other brunch spots around, but I'll definitely be back here again!
