What kind of café is Avocado Yeosu?

Avocado Yeosu is an avocado-specialty café near Isunsin Square in Yeosu. They serve everything from avocado drinks to Vietnamese-style banh mi, so it looked like a good spot for a quick bite and a break.

If you're traveling around Yeosu, you'll pass by Isunsin Square at least once, haha. There's so much food and so many pretty cafés around that it's hard to decide where to go. This time I was looking for something a bit different and found this avocado specialty spot — even the name, Avocado Yeosu, was cute.

The menu item I was most curious about was the avocado smoothie! It was hot during my Yeosu trip, so I was craving something cold, and this felt like perfect timing, haha. So I ordered that along with an avocado banh mi to try.

Where is Avocado Yeosu and what are its hours?

Avocado Yeosu is tucked in an alley near Isunsin Square. The address is 6 Tongjeyeong 4-gil, Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, South Korea!

It's not too far from Isunsin Square, so it's a good stop to swing by while sightseeing in Yeosu.

Above all, true to the name, the whole place is themed around avocados, so the concept was very clear.

It has a different vibe from the typical cafés you see around Yeosu, so I think it would catch your eye even just walking by. Hours are Wednesday through Monday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and it's closed on Tuesdays — good to know if you're planning a visit.

Inside Avocado Yeosu: seating, outlets and photo booth

Walking in through the door, cute little avocado props caught my eye everywhere.

From avocado dolls to Vietnamese-style decor pieces, it was fun just looking around the space, haha.

The space isn't huge, but there are tables and chairs set up for a simple sit-down meal.

It actually felt cozy for a quick rest, which worked for me.

There's a restroom and outlets inside, so it'd be great to sit and rest with a drink while traveling. Up front there's a kiosk and an instant photo booth.

Snapping a photo while waiting for your food seemed like it'd be fun too.

There were photos from other visitors stuck up on the wall, which was a fun little thing to look at.

Menu and prices at Avocado Yeosu

The menu was more compact and avocado-focused than I expected. Signature items include the avocado smoothie, avocado coffee, avocado ice cream, and avocado banh mi (Vietnamese baguette sandwich). There were also Vietnamese-style drinks like bac xiu, and regular americano was available too. If you like avocado, there's plenty to pick from according to taste.

I ordered the avocado smoothie I was most curious about, along with the avocado banh mi. The avocado smoothie was ₩7,500 and the avocado banh mi was ₩8,500. You can also choose whether or not to add cilantro to the banh mi, so if you love cilantro, order it your way, haha.

They're also running a receipt review event, so it might be worth joining while you wait for your drink or banh mi.

How does the 7,500-won avocado smoothie taste?

Alright, time for the taste review.

First I took a sip of the avocado smoothie, and the avocado flavor came through stronger than I expected.

That signature smooth, nutty avocado taste was well preserved.

The ice was finely blended so it went down smoothly, and it was properly refreshing on a hot day, haha.

Coconut chips on top added a subtle coconut aroma and crunchy texture. I thought avocado might feel a bit heavy, but it wasn't too much at all. It had a gentle sweetness and nutty feel that made it

a flavor even people who don't usually eat avocado might want to try. It was also a nice fit for a refreshing drink when you're thirsty while traveling.

Is the avocado banh mi enough for a meal?

Then there was the avocado banh mi I ordered alongside it! Once it arrives, the size is honestly kind of surprising, lol. It's much bigger in person than in photos — enough to be a full meal on its own.

Inside the crispy toasted baguette was a generous amount of bulgogi (marinated beef), vegetables, and avocado. The soft avocado flavor paired better than expected with the savory bulgogi.

Tangy pickled radish and carrot mixed in kept it from feeling too heavy, finishing things off cleanly. The banh mi itself was quite big, so together with the drink it worked well as a full meal substitute. Especially eating the avocado smoothie and banh mi together,

the combination of the nutty, smooth smoothie with the savory, crispy banh mi was really good, haha. It was a great combo for filling up and quenching your thirst on a trip.

Is Avocado Yeosu worth a stop on a Yeosu trip?

If you're looking for a slightly different café near Isunsin Square in Yeosu, Avocado Yeosu is a solid choice. With avocado smoothies, coffee, ice cream, and Vietnamese-style banh mi, it was nice being able to try something a bit different from a typical café.

The avocado smoothie in particular, with its nutty, smooth flavor and refreshing coldness, was perfect for a hot day while traveling in Yeosu, haha. The banh mi was also generously sized, making it good for a simple meal or brunch.

Most of all, its location near Isunsin Square makes it a great spot to rest while browsing all the food around the area, so it's worth adding to a Yeosu trip itinerary. Whether you love avocado or don't usually eat it much, if you're looking for a different kind of Yeosu café, it's worth stopping by once. Next time I visit, I'd like to try the avocado coffee I didn't get to have this time, haha.
