Hi everyone~! While wandering around near Isunsin Square during my Yeosu trip, I stopped by a slightly different kind of café.

It's called Avocado Yeosu, and even the name is cute! Usually when I think of a café, coffee or dessert comes to mind first, but here they really do have all kinds of menus made with avocado, just like the name says—so I was curious even before walking in~!

It says AVOCADO YEOSU in big letters, with an avocado illustration too, so you can tell right away what kind of place it is even from a distance.

Near the entrance I could check the menu in advance, and there were more items than I expected—avocado banh mi (a Vietnamese sandwich), avocado coffee, avocado smoothie, avocado ice cream!

The green color scheme goes well with the wood interior, and there are avocado dolls scattered everywhere, so there were more photo spots than I expected!

Especially the giant avocado doll—a visual you just can't walk past!!!

On one wall, photos taken by visitors were plastered all over, and that was pretty fun to look through too!

Turns out there's a photo booth machine right at the entrance, so if you come with a friend or partner, it'd be nice to leave a memory there~!

Avocado Yeosu menu and prices

Avocado Yeosu uses kiosk ordering, and the avocado banh mi was ₩8,500, while the avocado smoothie, avocado ice cream, and avocado coffee were each ₩7,500. I looked through the menu slowly, and true to being an avocado specialty spot, there were really so many options.

There's also a coffee menu, so it shouldn't be too much of a burden to visit even with someone who isn't a big avocado fan!

Fresh-fruit avocado smoothie menu listing

If you're looking for a place with a great avocado smoothie in Yeosu, this one is worth keeping an eye on.

Since they use fresh-fruit avocado, it felt different from a typical fresh juice café!

The avocado banh mi at ₩8,500: packed full

One of the menu items I was most curious about at Avocado Yeosu was the avocado banh mi.

A large avocado banh mi sandwich

Once I got it, it was quite a bit bigger than I expected, so it looked like plenty for a full meal.

The outside was a crisp bread with meat, carrots, vegetables, avocado and more packed inside—when I cut it in half, the filling was really packed full.

It wasn't just a meat-heavy sandwich feel—the vegetables mixed in made the combination work really well in each bite!

With the crisp bread and the moist filling together, it felt more filling than expected but not heavy!?

I thought this would also be great as a simple lunch or brunch during a Yeosu trip!

Avocado desserts too: smoothie and ice cream

The avocado dessert I had alongside it also had a unique look from the start.

Avocado dessert topped with toppings

With avocado and nutty toppings piled on top, it definitely felt different from the usual café dessert.

At first, eating avocado as a dessert felt a bit unfamiliar, but once I actually tried it, the soft texture worked so well that it surprised me!

With a drink on the side too, from the banh mi to the dessert it turned into quite a filling, hearty meal!

Is Avocado Yeosu worth it for a different kind of Yeosu café?

Yeosu café building its menu around a single ingredient, avocado

Yeosu has plenty of pretty cafés, but a place that builds so many different menu items around a single main ingredient like this is rare, which made it more memorable for me.

If you like avocado, just picking a menu item would already be fun, and since there's a meal-substitute option like the banh mi, it was also a good, light way to handle a meal while traveling.

Corner of the store decorated with avocado characters

Above all, there were cute avocado characters all over the store, so it was fun just looking around—if you're looking for a café in Yeosu or want to try something special near Isunsin Square, give Avocado Yeosu a try!
