Post-shopping cold brew and lemon sand cookie at Seongsu café T Coffee

In short

T Coffee is a quiet, white-toned basement café on Achasan-ro near Seongsu Station in Seongdong, Seoul. Worn out from shopping in Seongsu late in the evening, the writer stopped by for a strong cold brew and a lemon sand cookie (4,200 won) ordered before closing, and the generous space between tables made it easy to type on a Bluetooth keyboard. T Coffee is a good spot for a short, quiet break in crowded Seongsu.

Cold brew and lemon sand cookie at T Coffee in Seongsu

I went to Seongsu to shop and ended up completely drained by the crowds, so I went looking for a quiet café — that's how I found T Coffee. I'd done quite a bit of shopping that day and really just wanted to sit somewhere quiet and recharge on caffeine. This turned out to be exactly that kind of comfortable place. 😊

How to find the café: past the pizza shop, tucked inside

T Coffee is on the basement floor of the building, and I got a bit confused the first time I tried to find it. I went down the stairs and only saw a pizza place, so I thought, wait, is this even the right spot...😂 But I walked past the pizza place and further inside, and there was the café! The two are attached, so you just walk past the pizza place and keep going in. Haha.

What is the inside of T Coffee like?

The reason I picked this café was the quiet, restful vibe. Seongsu has a lot of pretty cafés that aren't exactly comfortable, you know? This place wasn't that typical "aesthetic café" feel. Hahaha.

White wall hung with framed art next to a table

The tables weren't packed too close together, so I could relax without worrying about the people next to me, and the overall white tone made the space itself feel really comfortable. The framed art pieces on the white walls gave it a bit of a gallery feel...

A two-person table good for working

I brought a Bluetooth keyboard and got some light work done, and it looked like a solid spot for laptop work too. There were plenty of two-person tables, so it also seemed like a good place to come alone to read or just quietly rest.

Café space with the window wall visible in the evening

According to the café's Instagram, even though it's underground, there's a full window wall that lets you see the trees outside, so during the day it apparently feels more open than you'd expect. That means it avoids that stuffy basement-café feeling, which seems like a real plus. I visited late in the evening though... so the window wall had basically turned into a mirror. 😂

Drink and dessert menu

The drink menu ranged from coffee to lattes to tea, and decaf was available too. You could switch the latte to oat milk, and they also sold hand-drip coffee. I showed up right around closing time, so I couldn't order any espresso-based drinks, but luckily cold brew was still available, so I ordered that. Haha.

Sand cookies on display

I also ordered a sand cookie for a light bite! The sand cookies came in lemon and chocolate, and since I was craving something refreshing that day, I went with lemon.

Cold brew and lemon sand cookie served at the table

The drink and cookie were brought right to my table. The cold brew looked really dark in color just at a glance. 👀 The cookie was meant to be eaten by hand, and they even brought wet wipes along with it, which was a nice touch.

A glass of dark-colored iced cold brew

A strong cold brew

It was late in the evening, but I really needed a caffeine boost that day, so I ordered the cold brew — and the strong flavor hit me the moment I took a sip. 😂 It felt like it had been ages since I'd had cold brew this strong.

And the lemon sand cookie I ordered alongside it. 🍋 ₩4,200! The size was just right for a snack. Paired with the strong cold brew, the refreshing lemon flavor worked really well together. The slightly firm-textured lemon cream matched nicely with the cookie. 😊

Final thoughts on T Coffee

  • A café good for a quiet break while shopping in Seongsu ☕️
  • Comfortable thanks to generous spacing between tables
  • Clean, calm atmosphere with a white-toned interior
  • Good for solo visits to read or work 💻
  • Underground, but the window wall makes it feel open during the day
  • Recommended for anyone who likes strong cold brew
  • A café that's good for a quick break in busy Seongsu

If people-watching and shopping in Seongsu have completely drained you...😂 I'd definitely recommend this café for sitting somewhere quiet with a coffee to recharge. 😊
