Solo Sunday café visit for pistachio fig cake in Gyeyang, Incheon
In short
Dalgeuraem is a bakery café in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, near Exit 3 of Gyesan Station. On a quiet Sunday morning solo visit, I tried the pistachio fig cake, chocolate ganache baguette, peanut cream latte, and maple pecan financier, plus met four kinds of salt bread on display. Do you love spending quiet time alone in a pretty café? I really do — a Sunday morning with nothing on the schedule feels like the most relaxed, peaceful time there is.
The essentials of a healing time are cozy, aesthetic interiors and delicious desserts and coffee. I found a café that checked every box and had such a happy Sunday morning — let me share it with you.
Dalgeuraem's location and parking
Dalgeuraem, a bakery café in Gyesan-dong, is 147m from Exit 3 of Gyesan Station on Incheon Subway Line 1, tucked into a quiet alley among villa complexes.

There's no dedicated parking lot, and you can't park in front of the store. If you're driving, park at the underground public lot at Gyesan Sports Park and walk about 5 minutes^^
An aesthetic exterior visible from afar

There's a place that gives off a strong aesthetic vibe even from a distance. That place is Dalgeuraem, the bakery café in Gyesan-dong.

On the right side of the café there's a small, cute European-style white door. Once you step through that aesthetic little door, there's another entrance leading into Dalgeuraem itself.

The only downside is that it's so pretty from the outside you almost don't want to go in..

Inside Dalgeuraem and the seating

Dalgeuraem isn't a particularly large café. The tables are small and charming too, and it looked like a perfect spot for parties of 1 to 4 to enjoy a cozy chat.
The wood and cream-white interior gives off a warm, cozy feeling, and the elegant, calm atmosphere kept me at ease the whole time I stayed.
There's even a restroom inside — I walked in without expecting much and thought, wait, why is this bathroom so pretty?? I covered my mouth in surprise and went back in just to take photos.
I loved the big sink, and beyond hand wash, they had lotion, hair ties, bobby pins, and even cotton swabs — you could really feel the owner's loving attention to detail. The owner and staff were all so kind too, I wondered if angels in human form were working there.

Dalgeuraem is a kid-friendly café with baby chairs available. The bakery display case is a nice wooden cabinet, which only elevates the already-pretty desserts even more-

Even the small corners of the café are full of pretty details, so wherever your eyes landed felt like a treat.
Dalgeuraem's menu and salt bread lineup

This is Dalgeuraem's drink menu. When I visit a café for the first time, I usually order the signature menu — so which of the three, vanilla bean cream latte, peanut cream latte, or black sesame cream latte, do you think I picked? The non-coffee lattes and juices add something special to the basics too, and the ades and teas featured some uncommon varieties that caught my eye.
Desserts that make you happy just by looking at them~ Every morning, professional pastry chefs make them with care using Isigny gourmet butter, homemade natural levain yeast, and carefully chosen ingredients.
Each morning's lineup gets posted on their Instagram account. The day I visited, the salt bread came out after noon due to an ingredient supply issue — usually everything is ready by opening time. I'd recommend browsing their account and doing an opening run if there's something you really want to grab, haha.

It would've felt like a shame to leave Dalgeuraem without seeing the salt bread (sogeumppang), so I waited it out and got to meet all four kinds and took photos!! I also spotted the chili cheese salt bread, the most popular one, but I was already too full to try it — a regret. Which means I now have a great excuse to go back for the salt bread, right? Haha. The one I'm dying to try is the corn mayo bburing salt bread, but sadly I missed it this time ㅠㅠ
There were also a variety of fresh seasonal fruit cakes, and each slice is generously sized, which makes the price feel justified.

A look too good to eat right away

You have no idea how long I agonized over what to pick. If you look at the photos and videos of the menu, you'll see — there's really nothing to skip~

Pistachio fig cake
Figs are in season right now, at their sweetest. They're such a precious fruit with such a short window, so I've been buying them diligently — but paired with pistachio cream in a cake? Anyone know how NOT to eat this?
The figs, cream, and sponge were all soft and fluffy, giving way the moment my fork touched them. And in your mouth, it melts sweetly away. It's like eating sweet, nutty air, if that makes any sense..

Figs were generously packed between the sponge layers too, so every bite had a fun crackly seed texture, and the sweet, ripe figs paired with rich, nutty pistachio cream turned out to be an incredible combination.. the owner is a genius at flavor pairing.

What does the peanut cream latte taste like?
Of the signature coffees, I chose the peanut cream latte. I agonized so hard between this and the black sesame one.. next time I'll get the black sesame latte~ haha
The soft, nutty peanut cream takes up almost half the cup! And since it's a latte rather than an espresso base, the softness and nuttiness were maxed out. I thought it'd be really sweet, but it barely had any sweetness, which threw me off a little haha. So if you're looking for a clean, nutty latte, this peanut cream latte is the one for you. It hits the spot so precisely you might feel like you've gone to heaven..
Since the desserts I picked were already sweet, having a clean, less-sweet coffee turned out to be the right call.

Chocolate ganache baguette and maple pecan financier
The trendy chocolate baguette! I'm finally trying it.
Dalgeuraem's chocolate baguette refuses to be boring, elevating the quality from the ingredients up with chocolate ganache. The baguette has real chewiness but isn't hard or dry, so it's comfortable to eat, and it's packed with rich, deeply flavored chocolate that balances out the baguette's texture. And of course, it carries the flavor too!

The maple pecan financier I picked as the review item. It nails that crispy-outside, chewy-inside texture well — like a soft pound cake compressed into a dense texture. Not quite crackly, but chewy and soft, so I let out an 'oh?' the moment I took a bite. Delicious goes without saying..
Wrap-up
If you're looking for a bakery café that does dessert really well in Gyesan-dong, Dalgeuraem is a no-brainer recommendation. The café is pretty, the staff are kind — a place I'd recommend twice over. Next time, I'm going back to conquer the salt bread.
