₩9,900 brunch after class at Goyang KINTEX mall bakery: Boulangerie

Whenever Chaewon has a culture center class, she always ends up hungry at an awkward time in between, haha. Too early for a proper meal, but too hungry to just head straight home. 😅😅

This time too, after her class at Hyundai Department Store KINTEX, we were wandering the basement food hall when the bread on display stopped us in our tracks — that was Boulangerie Tan.

I'm not usually someone who goes out of my way for bread, but everything here — from the sandwiches in the case to the baguettes and cream-filled pastries — looked so good I couldn't just walk past.

And on top of that, they're currently running a ₩9,900 brunch menu along with a salt bread 3+1 deal, so if you're planning a trip to Hyundai Department Store KINTEX, it's worth keeping an eye out for!

Where to find Boulangerie Tan in the KINTEX basement food hall

Boulangerie Tan is located on the basement 1st floor food hall of Hyundai Department Store KINTEX. It's a bakery known in Paju for its baguettes and baguette sandwiches, and turns out it has a spot here at the KINTEX branch too.

How wide is the bread lineup?

The variety of bread was bigger than I expected. There are baguette-style breads good for a meal, sweet cream-filled breads, salt bread, pastries, and sandwiches lined up all the way to ones good enough for a full meal. The sandwiches especially looked amazing — from ones packed with ham to ones loaded with carrot rapée.

I've been into carrot rapée sandwiches lately, so the moment I saw it I knew I had to get it, haha.

And there was even a chocolate baguette..🍫🍫🍫

The ₩9,900 brunch menu — what hours does it run?

What caught my eye at Boulangerie Tan was the SIGNATURE BRUNCH TIME MENU. When I visited, the in-store sign listed it as 10:30am–2:00pm for ₩9,900.

Even a simple brunch inside a department store can add up once you order a sandwich plus coffee, so ₩9,900 felt like a pretty good deal.

Especially for moms like me who take classes at the Hyundai Department Store KINTEX culture center, there's often that awkward gap of time before or after class, and this place seemed perfect for grabbing something quick in the basement food hall without having to go far. 👏🏻

The salt bread 3+1 deal is also running

If you like salt bread, there's a 3+1 deal too! Right now, buying 3 salt breads gets you 1 free.

Salt bread isn't exactly cheap these days, so if you're going to share with family or take some home anyway, grabbing 4 while the deal's on seems like a good move.

I took a photo of the promotion signage, but the period and lineup can change, so it's worth double-checking the in-store signage when you visit.

The bread is great, but the coffee is too

One thing that surprised me personally was the coffee! When a bakery's coffee is actually good, satisfaction goes way up — and here, after trying it, I looked into it and found out they use Fritz Coffee beans. No wonder, haha.

It was also nice not having to go find another café after buying bread — you can order coffee right here too. We picked a sandwich and a few breads to share, and since the bread itself was good, the sandwiches were good too.

The carrot rapée was so good..! Making it at home is surprisingly fussy and a hassle.

You could choose baguette or salt bread for the sandwich bread, so we got one of each — both delicious in their own way..🧡

The baguette especially had a crisp outside with a nutty flavor that got better the more you chewed — I could see why they're known for baguette sandwiches. The carrot rapée was generous too, so it was pretty filling for a between-meals snack.

I also had a cream-filled bread, and sweet bread with an americano is just... a combination that can't fail, haha.

A good stop right after culture center class

We just stopped by to grab something quick after class, and ended up really satisfied with both the bread and the coffee at Boulangerie Tan.🖤 If you're looking for good bread, sandwiches, or a simple brunch at Hyundai Department Store KINTEX, I'd recommend it.
