In short
Selected Nicks is a large dessert café with parking on Teheran-ro 4-gil in Gangnam, Seoul. On a repeat visit, new baked goods — double choco cookie, choco crunch madeleine, and cookie brownie — were each 4,500 won, paired with a warm caffè latte at 6,500 won for a long laptop work session, plus a look at the second-floor exhibition and rooftop. A great Gangnam café for settling in with chocolate desserts and warm coffee.

Wandering around Gangnam looking for cafés, there are a lot of places where you feel bad just drinking coffee and leaving. I like to settle in at a café, get some work done, and enjoy good desserts while I'm at it, so this time I went back to Selected Nicks to work again.
I'd visited here once before, and coming back this time, the menu had changed a bit! Last time it was mostly tiramisu that caught my eye, but this time there was a whole new lineup of baked goods, so I tried the cookie, the madeleine, and the brownie together.

A large Gangnam-station café with parking — good for working?
Selected Nicks is a pretty sizeable café for the Gangnam area, so it's better suited for bringing a laptop and working or spending a relaxed stretch of time rather than just grabbing a quick coffee. And get this — parking is available too, whoa.
I actually had some work to do that day, so I ordered a coffee and settled in to work. The café is spacious with plenty of seating options, so it's good for chatting with friends, and also fine for sitting alone with a laptop for a while.

New baked goods on this repeat visit
Selected Nicks always made me think of tiramisu first — I'd had tiramisu on my last visit too — but coming back this time, there was a whole new lineup of baked cookies added.

So this time, instead of tiramisu, I picked from the baked goods. What I ordered was the double choco cookie for 4,500 won, the choco crunch madeleine for 4,500 won, the cookie brownie for 4,500 won, and to drink, a warm caffè latte for 6,500 won.

Menu

Also, visiting again, the tiramisu menu felt even more varied — doo-jjon-ti (double chewy tiramisu)... haha. I love the Dubai-style desserts, so next time I want to try the Dubai tiramisu haha.

The drink menu is varied too, and the tiramisu selection is seriously huge!!!!
There are exhibitions in the second-floor space too, and it's roomy enough to be good for gatherings or a quick meeting.
Double choco cookie
If you like chocolate, this is a menu you'll pretty reliably enjoy. The cookie itself carries a chocolate flavor, and there are sweet pockets of chocolate scattered through it, which paired well with the warm latte.

Choco crunch madeleine
This is a madeleine with chocolate added, and just as the name suggests, it has a crunchy texture added in, so instead of just the usual soft madeleine, you get a crisp bite here and there, which made it more fun to eat!!! A sip of coffee, a bite of madeleine — that's exactly the dessert feeling :)
Cookie brownie
This one combines the brownie's signature rich chocolate flavor with a cookie feel, so of the three it had the heaviest, most substantial feeling ❤️ If you love chocolate desserts, you'll probably love this combo — it's my personal pick.

Warm caffè latte
As the weather's been getting a bit cooler these days, I've been craving warm coffee more and more instead of iced drinks. That day too I ordered a warm latte, and sure enough it went well with the baked goods. Since there were several chocolate-forward desserts, eating them without coffee could get a bit too sweet, but the warm latte reset my palate between bites, which made it easy to work through them one by one while working.

Second-floor exhibition and rooftop space
There's always some kind of exhibition on the second floor, so it's fun to browse.

And most of all, another great thing about Selected Nicks is that there's a rooftop space. When it's too hot or too cold, indoors is more comfortable, but in weather like this, as it turns cooler, the rooftop is perfect for having coffee?! There aren't many cafés in Gangnam with this much space plus a rooftop, so it was seriously packed on the weekend!!!
