Gangnam wedding hall near Seonjeongneung Station: Arbe guest buffet

In short

Arbe Wedding Hall is a house wedding venue at 302 Bongeunsa-ro in Gangnam, Seoul, a 6-7 minute walk from Seonjeongneung Station. Visiting as a guest on a Saturday afternoon, the writer toured the private hall on basement level 1 and the banquet buffet across the corridor, trying draft beer, makgeolli, gelato and raw salmon sashimi. With 5 ceremonies a day at 2-hour intervals and notably attentive staff, Arbe stood out as a private-hall venue in Gangnam.

I went as a guest to try the buffet at Arbe, a house wedding hall in Seoul. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and there were a whopping five couples getting married that day at two-hour intervals — it was such a nice sight and I felt like I soaked up all the good energy haha. Let me jump right into the review! 🍀

Guest parking at Arbe and the walk from Seonjeongneung Station

First off, guest parking at Arbe is available for 2 hours. ✔️ Lot 1 / Lot 2 / Lot 3 — no parking tickets or stamps are issued. Two parking staff at the lot entrance helped direct cars 💘💘

I walked from Seonjeongneung Station and it only took about 6-7 minutes to get there :) Very good as a subway-accessible Gangnam wedding hall too!

What's in Arbe's first-floor welcome tea zone?

Walking into Arbe's 1st floor, the welcome tea zone is right there on your right. There's staff on hand, and you can enjoy lime juice, peach crush juice, water, brewed coffee, and mix coffee just like a café haha.

There were too many guests for me to get a photo, but some people were sitting at tables in the waiting area on the left, having a drink while listening to live music. (Apparently the music costs extra during peak season, depending on the time of year!)

Arbe's photo zone and photo guestbook

There's a photo zone with the couple's wedding photos, and when I visited, it looked like that time slot's couple had added a photo guestbook — staff were taking photos of guests at the entrance and having them leave congratulatory messages haha. There was a staff member handling it too, and they promoted it so well that almost everyone left a message!!! Guests get to take home a four-cut photo, and the couple gets to keep a guestbook full of photos >,<

If you're coming in to sign a contract or for a consultation, go in through the 1st floor and head to the consultation room on your left.

Basement level 1: private hall, bridal waiting room and parents' hair & makeup room

Shall we head down to basement 1, where the Gangnam single hall is? Basement 1 has the bridal waiting room, the buffet (banquet hall), and the single hall! There's also a photo table and photo zone here haha.

There were also restrooms, a hair & makeup room for the parents, lockers, and a fitting room! As someone who's done my own hair, makeup, and dress entirely inside a wedding hall before, this is so~~~~~~~~~~ convenient lol. The parents also said it was so nice to have everything handled inside the wedding hall.

All fresh flowers, 5 ceremonies a day at 120-minute intervals

The bridal waiting room and the star of the show, the Gangnam single hall — usually only part of the flowers are fresh, and there's often an extra charge for fresh flowers, but every single flower at Arbe was real, so instead of artificial diffuser scent, the air was full of actual flower fragrance.

Ceremony times: 5 couples total per day. 11:00 / 12:50 / 14:30 / 16:30 / 18:30. Except for the lunch peak, the slots are 120 minutes apart, so the ceremonies looked really relaxed! Having personally experienced a 60-minute ceremony before... it was incredibly rushed lol. Waiting around was tiring for me too, and guests got uncomfortable because their paths kept crossing ㅠㅠ

A 10-second walk from Arbe's private hall to the banquet hall

Now let's go eat ~~ Right across from the single hall, just 10 seconds away, is the banquet hall lol. No need to change floors either — no need to explain 'which time slot, which couple,' so it was so convenient and nice. Single hall is the best...........?🫪

Arbe buffet: drinks, makgeolli and dessert lineup

One of Arbe's strengths is the variety of drinks — starting with 2 draft beers, Kelly and Terra! Plus red wine, white wine, and a total of 5 kinds of makgeolli haha.

The ice cream was actual gelato, so it was chewy and delicious. There were also 4 kinds of fruit plus a fruit punch!!! Such a nice touch, right lol.

There were also 3 kinds of hot tea, a coffee machine, and a soda zone haha. What really stood out was how kind and numerous the staff were — there was even a staff member stationed at the tea zone, constantly refilling tea, keeping it warm, and showing people how to use the coffee machine :)

Why staff service matters most when choosing a wedding hall

I used to think parking and good food were all that mattered when choosing a wedding hall, but after attending a lot of weddings, I've realized the important thing these days is the staff service at the venue :)

Sometimes when you ask for more meat or noodles, staff occasionally don't respond or answer curtly, which can be jarring — but the staff at Arbe were seriously...!!! From the consultation to the assigned banquet hall staff, everyone was so kind haha.

TMI, but I like to set down my plate when it's empty (not because they weren't clearing it — they clear it right away), and I was looking around holding my plate when an ajumma ran right over saying 'We'll take that!' and took it from me ㅜㅜㅜ so kind...

Check out the quality of the raw salmon sashimi and tuna~! When I said the raw salmon sashimi was so delicious, my mom said, 'It's not frozen, you know,' and yeah!! The staff member was even humming while slicing the sashimi! That's not easy to pull off... this is where I once again realized the professionalism and service spirit of the staff, you know?👍

My personal food picks at the Arbe buffet

There's Western, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, desserts, drinks, and tea — too much to describe, but my personal food picks are galbitang (short rib soup), jeonbokjuk (abalone porridge), raw salmon sashimi, and yukhoe (raw beef) lol.

There's a projector in the banquet hall too, so you can watch the ceremony live!

Weekend traffic between Seonjeongneung and Eonju

After eating my fill and heading out, I took a look at the traffic between Seonjeongneung and Eonju... whether it's because it's the weekend or just how Seoul always is, there was a ton of cars and honking lol. Take public transit, everyone :) That's it for my honest guest review of Arbe Wedding, a house wedding hall in Gangnam. 20000
