The hardest thing whenever I go to Seongsu? Finding somewhere to eat.... There are cafés everywhere, but finding a great Seongsu lunch spot for a properly filling meal always has me thinking 👀

So this time I went to bd Burger, a popular burger spot near Seongsu Station 🍔✨ It is great for popping into while exploring Seongsu, or for a filling meal midway through a date, so I recommend it to anyone looking for a Seongsu date restaurant! Especially if you love handmade burgers? Put it straight on your list 😎

The restaurant is on the second floor, and even before going up, there were thick, juicy-looking burger photos all over the place. I was sooo hungry by then ㅜㅜ so my expectations were already rising 📈🍔

There were more tables than I expected inside, and the purple-and-white interior had a trendy feel.

If you are visiting on a weekend, I recommend getting there a little early! I heard there can be a wait!

Tablet ordering and the menu

When you enter, you can check the menu near the entrance, then order and pay right from the tablet at your table 🙌🏻

The menu is broadly split into beef burgers and shrimp burgers! Shrimp lovers will be happy the second they see it... Wasabi Shrimp, Buldak (spicy fire chicken-style) Shrimp, Sriracha Shrimp, and Grilled Avocado Shrimp! The beef options included the Double Cheese Burger and Cheongyang Mayo Bulgogi Burger 🍔

What especially caught my eye while looking over the bd Burger menu were the sides! It was fun to see fried eggplant and fried button mushrooms too 🍆🍄

Once you have ordered and paid, a pickup message appears on the tablet at your table when the food is ready! Check the message, then head to the pickup counter and collect it yourself 🙌🏻

While waiting, you can pick up anything you need from the self-service bar, including side plates and ketchup!

Rich and sweet milkshake

The drinks came out first. I ordered the milkshake because I heard it was famous, and it had this rich, nutty milkiness along with sweetness—need I say more?

If you like sweet milkshakes, you have to order this! You can really taste that deep, nutty richness.

Double Cheese Burger and Wasabi Shrimp

And finally, the burgers made their entrance------!! 🍔✨ The Big-Size Wasabi Shrimp Burger made a statement right away with the thickness of its shrimp patty 🦐

I started with the Double Cheese Burger. 🍔 The meat patty looked incredibly juicy. One bite in, the juices really came through, though the ingredients in this handmade burger were not overly complicated.

If anything, the simple ingredients made the meat patty's flavor come through even more deeply. The juicy beef and cheese were salty and savory together—exactly the classic handmade-burger style I love 🤤

The bun around the filling was also super soft and fluffy, but it did not seem to get soggy easily from the sauce.

And then, bd Burger's signature main! The Big-Size Wasabi Shrimp Burger! 🦐💚 The first thing that stood out when it arrived was that thick shrimp patty! It absolutely lives up to the “big-size” name 🔥

Inside were cabbage, the shrimp patty, chicory, and ingredients with a bit of a coleslaw-like feel, making it crisp and crunchy~ The texture was great.

Best of all, the shrimp patty was packed full of whole shrimp 🦐 Every bite had that bouncy shrimp texture, so I think shrimp-burger fans will absolutely, totally be satisfied hahaha. And since wasabi is in the name, you might expect it to be super strong, but it was not sharp enough to sting your nose!

The wasabi aroma cut through the richness of the fried shrimp patty, so the overall balance was really good. Even people who do not love wasabi can enjoy it without a problem!

Butter garlic fries piled high with sauce

Next up, the butter garlic fries 🍟🧄 Honestly, I seriously love fries absolutely loaded with sauce. So there was no way I could pass up this look. 🍟 The fries were dusted with chili seasoning, then topped with big dollops of butter garlic sauce 🤤

The fries themselves were thin and savory, and the chili seasoning just gave a little accent without getting in the way of the butter garlic sauce.

Sweet, salty, and full of garlicky aroma—they were impossible to stop picking at! There was already so much sauce that I even dipped the plain fries into the butter garlic sauce separately hahaha

Also recommended for a Seongsu date meal

I also heard that bd Burger, a popular Seongsu restaurant, offers takeout and delivery, so I totally recommend getting it to go and heading to Seoul Forest on a nice day 🌳💚 If you are wondering what to eat on a Seongsu date, I think bd Burger is a good choice too.

There really were lots of couples there too! I also recommend it to anyone looking for a Seongsu lunch spot or an office-worker lunch menu in Seongsu. If you want a mouthful of juicy beef, go for the Double Cheese Burger 🍔 If you love plump, bouncy whole shrimp, I would recommend the Wasabi Shrimp 🦐
