If you’re looking for a café in Seongsu where you can chat quietly

I was looking for somewhere quiet in Seongsu to have a coffee and chat with a friend, so we visited T Coffee haha. There are seriously so many cafés in Seongsu, but finding one where you can actually relax in peace isn’t as easy as it soundsㅠㅠ So this time I looked for somewhere quieter with a nice atmosphere, and this place was way better than I expected!

When I first found it on the map and arrived, I was like, “There was a café here??” I’ve worked in Seongsu for quite a while, so I thought I knew pretty much every café around, but I had no idea this one was here!!

T Coffee is on basement level one, so at first I wondered what it would feel like being underground. But as soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was nicer than I expected—ooh haha.

Even though it has a semi-basement feel, the interior is clean and stylish! Overall, it feels warm and cozy. I visited on a hot day, and it was so cool and comfortable—loved it haha.

And even though it’s underground, it didn’t feel particularly stuffy. You can see the outdoor landscaping through the floor-to-ceiling windows, which gives it a surprising sense of openness haha. I thought it would be a good choice for anyone looking for a quiet café in Seongsu.

Why it looked good for laptop work and meetings

I especially liked how well the space was divided! The tables are arranged across several separate areas, and there are outlets too, so it looked like a good place to open up a laptop and work or hold a meeting. If you’re looking for a laptop café, I think this place could be pretty great!

And above all, it was so cool... hahaha. The weather has been hot lately, right? After walking around Seongsu, coming into this cool café felt like heaven. It was comfortable and clean, so it was nice for sitting around for a long time too.

I actually wanted to try the desserts too, but I’d been picking at all sorts of snacks beforehand and was way too fullㅠㅠ Such a shame... Next time I’m definitely trying dessert!

This time we kept it simple: I got an iced Americano, and my friend ordered the lemon ginger sparkling~ The Americano was clean and easy to drink. And according to my friend, even the ice here is somehow carefully made hahaha. (I didn’t catch the details...) Apparently it’s the kind that doesn’t melt easily.

This was tangy and fizzy, so it was perfect for a hot day. The bright lemon flavor had a subtle hint of ginger, making it a refreshing alternative to coffee haha. It would be nice for a little pick-me-up after lunch too!

A Seongsu café for quietly relaxing or working

Overall, T Coffee feels less like one of Seongsu’s loud, bustling hot spots and more like a quiet Seongsu café where you can take a breather. That’s why I liked it even more. Seongsu is packed with people and crowded cafés, but perhaps because this one is downstairs, it has such a calm atmosphere—great for having coffee, chatting with a friend, and spending time at an easy pace.

And since it’s surprisingly hard to find a café in Seongsu that’s this quiet, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a laptop café too. There’s a large table with outlets, and the areas are well divided, so it looked good for coming alone to work on a laptop or for a meeting!! If I need somewhere quiet to work in Seongsu next time, I think I’ll come back~~
