In short
Ilmigop is a beef gopchang (small intestine) and daechang (large intestine) restaurant in Bisan 1-dong, Anyang, Gyeonggi, right in front of the Bisan 1-dong Community Service Center. One serving each of grilled bull gopchang (200g, 20,900 won) and grilled daechang (200g, 19,900 won) came with vegetables and beef heart, plus a free sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) and a free plate of chadolbagi (thinly sliced beef brisket) for arriving before 7pm. I have no idea why the colder weather makes me crave greasy food so much haha😎;; Whenever that happens I always think of gopchang, and this time it had been ages since I actually craved beef gopchang! So to get a proper gopchang fix I went to check out a Bisan-dong favorite, Ilmigop.
After eating there, the food was great, but honestly what struck me most was just how huge the portions were — I already wanted to go back. Alright, let's get into the beef gopchang mukbang hahaha.
Where is Ilmigop, and what are its hours and parking?

Ilmigop is in Bisan-dong, right in front of the Bisan 1-dong Community Service Center, so even though it was my first time going, it wasn't hard to find! We drove there that day, and if you use the building's commercial parking lot, you get parking support!
The first thing that caught my eye as soon as we arrived was this huge sign! It just says 'Ilmigop' cleanly, but somehow the sign alone felt impressive haha. There was also a banner saying they only use natural ingredients for tenderizing the meat, and seeing that line before even going in to eat gopchang made me think, 'Oh... this place actually cares about their food?' — so I was already a little excited about the taste before stepping inside. Let's go in!
Ilmigop's hanok-style dining room in Bisan-dong, Anyang

Once we opened the door, the whole vibe was completely different from what I expected — it was decorated in a hanok (traditional Korean house) concept! It was oddly novel to encounter this atmosphere at a gopchang restaurant (❁´◡`❁) It's unique yet calm overall, a totally different feeling from the usual noisy, bustling gopchang joint.
There were also high chairs set up on one side, so it's a good spot to bring kids along for gopchang. Another thing I really liked was how much space there was between tables! Grilling gopchang means a lot of grease and smoke, but here the tables were spaced generously apart so you could eat comfortably without feeling cramped.

Looking around the walls, there was a message about their confidence in freshness and safety, along with the faces and names of the people in charge of the meat, vegetables, and other ingredients used at Ilmigop (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ Instead of just saying 'we use good ingredients,' having the actual names and faces of the people responsible somehow made me trust the food more,,, The country-of-origin labeling was also clean and clear, and I was especially glad to see that the gopchang and daechang I was excited to eat were both domestic (Korean) beef.
Ilmigop's gopchang menu and prices

Looking at Ilmigop's menu, the gopchang lineup included assorted grill 250g for ₩21,900, grilled bull gopchang 200g for ₩20,900, grilled daechang 200g for ₩19,900, grilled makchang 200g for ₩19,900, and grilled beef heart 150g for ₩14,000.
I briefly considered the assorted grill, but decided to focus on the gopchang and daechang I really wanted rather than makchang. So that day I ordered one serving each of grilled bull gopchang and grilled daechang.
Side dishes, sundubu jjigae, then the gopchang arrives

Once we sat down, the side dishes came out one by one — a clean lineup of just 3 banchan plus sesame oil dipping sauce and soy sauce. The sides were salad, pickled onions, and green onion kimchi.

When you're eating something as rich as daechang, you need something to refresh your palate in between. These fresh, clean-tasting sides seemed like they'd pair really well with the gopchang and daechang.

Then the sundubu jjigae arrived as a free service item, and wow, the bowl was huge from the start haha... It was packed with chunks of soft tofu, and the spicy, piping hot broth was really solid. With that red broth, it seemed like the perfect thing to spoon a bite of between rounds of gopchang.

While we were eating the sides and sundubu jjigae, the gopchang and daechang I'd been waiting and waiting for finally showed up! One serving of each, pre-seared, so we just turned the heat down and grilled it for about 5 more minutes — plenty. But the first thought I had looking at the plate was, 'Wait... why is there so much?' haha.

Along with the gopchang and daechang, there were plenty of vegetables, and even beef heart piled on one side — a really generous spread. The daechang especially looked great visually, and looking at the gopchang, it was clearly packed full of gop (intestinal fat) inside, whew,,

Underneath the gopchang, there were finely chopped green onions and onions, which I also liked. On top there were enoki mushrooms, plus a generous helping of stir-fried chives, which just wouldn't feel like a proper gopchang restaurant without. We grilled the pre-seared gopchang and daechang a little more at the table as we ate.
Looking back at these photos now at night,,, I'm losing it over how good this looks. They really drain the grease well here too, so there was less splattering while eating, which was genuinely nice,,,
How did the beef heart, daechang and gopchang taste?

First I tried a piece of heart — chewy with no unpleasant smell at all, which I liked. Then the real star of the day! I tried the daechang I'd been craving so much, and the grease came out with a pleasant sizzle, bringing up a burst of nutty flavor. It was already nutty on its own, but dipping it once in the sesame oil sauce brought out a whole different kind of nuttiness haha!
As for the gopchang, you could visually tell it was packed full of gop inside, and eating it, it wasn't tough at all and was so nutty that I kept reaching for more. One bite and 'oh this is good,' then another bite haha, I just kept using my chopsticks,,, Eating the gopchang and daechang together with the grilled green onions, onions, enoki mushrooms, and chives underneath was great too, since I could keep switching up the combinations.
Free chadolbagi for visiting Ilmigop before 7pm

There was one more thing at Ilmigop that surprised me — the free chadolbagi if you visit before 7pm! I figured it'd just be a small taste of chadolbagi, but nope... it came with a whole pile of vegetables too haha. It suddenly felt like starting a whole new meal. That was the moment I really realized this place serves seriously generous portions,,
Even though the chadolbagi was a free item, it wasn't a throwaway portion at all — the quality of the meat was actually good! Dipping it in both the sesame oil sauce and soy sauce, eating it with the vegetables, before I knew it we'd cleaned the whole plate haha. Among all the gopchang restaurants I've been to, ordering just 2 servings of gopchang and still eating this much is honestly rare. Coming for gopchang and ending up with free chadolbagi on top felt like hitting the jackpot.
Why two servings at Ilmigop were more than enough
Ilmigop had great taste and quality gopchang, but what stuck with me most from this meal was honestly just the sheer volume of food haha. We only ordered 2 servings of bull gopchang and daechang, but with the vegetables, heart, sundubu jjigae, and the free chadolbagi from arriving before 7pm, we ended up stuffed.
On top of that, I loved the unique hanok atmosphere and the wide spacing between tables, so this is a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for a good gopchang restaurant in Anyang. Especially now that the weather's turning chilly and gopchang cravings hit out of nowhere, I think I'll be heading back to this Bisan-dong favorite, Ilmigop, again haha.
