Why go to Saechamcoffee on Anyang's Daengri-dan-gil?

I wanted a nice brunch and a relaxed café break around Anyang Ilbeonga this weekend, so I headed to Saechamcoffee in Daengri-dan-gil.

While looking for cafés in Anyang's Daengri-dan-gil, I found this one because it allows dogs, and the overall menu — sandwiches, coffee, desserts — looked good enough to make it worth visiting for brunch too.

Saechamcoffee turned out to be a great café near Anyang's Daengri-dan-gil for enjoying coffee and brunch together.

Can you bring a dog into Saechamcoffee?

Dogs can come in as long as you show a vaccination certificate. There's also no rule requiring them to stay in a bag or a pet stroller, which I really loved haha. Highly recommend to fellow dog guardians! Pet etiquette is a given, of course 🤭

Some customers were just having coffee, but the vibe worked just as well for those pairing it with sandwiches or desserts. Since I was hungry that day, I decided to order a sandwich instead of just coffee, and pick out some dessert too.

What does the spicy chicken sandwich taste like?

Saechamcoffee's spicy chicken sandwich (₩11,500) came on black squid-ink bread, packed with spicy-seasoned chicken thigh meat and plenty of vegetables.

The chicken thigh wasn't dry at all — soft and tender — and the fresh lettuce-like vegetables gave it good texture too. Best of all, the chipotle mayo added a hint of spice along with a savory, umami richness. This sandwich alone was surprisingly filling, making it a solid brunch choice.

Everything worked together really well, and I personally enjoyed it a lot. If you're looking for a good café in Anyang and want something quick to eat, the sandwich menu is worth trying. Order it as a set for a discount — make sure you do!

The signature honey salt latte, 7,000 won

For coffee, I ordered the honey salt latte (₩7,000), said to be Saechamcoffee's signature menu item. It's a signature drink combining natural honey and pink salt, and the combination worked better than I expected. There's a sweet honey flavor, with a slight saltiness from the cream, making it different from a typical sweet latte.

Since the sandwich was on the spicy side, sipping the latte in between helped cool down the heat, and the overall pairing was great. Honestly, the coffee was satisfying enough that I'd order the honey salt latte again next time I visit.

I originally planned to just have the sandwich and coffee, but the desserts on display were hard to pass up. In the end, I ordered both the nunetti ne scone and the yellow cheese s'more levain cookie. I thought ordering a sandwich, latte, scone, and cookie all together might be too much, but everything was so good that we finished it all without leaving anything behind.

By the way, Saechamcoffee has a restroom inside the café that's clean with proper handwashing facilities, so I'd really recommend this café to anyone particular about restrooms!! (You know how annoying it is having to carry a giant key with a plush toy attached for an outside restroom, right? Haha)

Brunch near Anyang Station with your dog

If you're looking for a good brunch café near Anyang Station, or a place for a simple meal in Anyang's Daengri-dan-gil, Saechamcoffee is worth considering. It's an especially good fit if you prefer a place where you can enjoy sandwiches and desserts along with your coffee, rather than a coffee-only café.

Among the cafés in Anyang's Daengri-dan-gil, I went to Saechamcoffee wanting brunch and dessert together, and honestly, every single item was delicious — a really satisfying café visit for me. Next time I'm near Anyang Station, I'd like to try a different dessert.
