I grabbed a simple lunch in Jamsil on a Friday. I was looking for somewhere I could eat alone at ease, and I'd heard there was a place that did a great jambon-beurre sandwich, so I went to check it out. That's Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch (타운샌드위치 잠실점).
How to find Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch
Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch sits on the first floor of the Jamsil The Sharp Star Park commercial building. Outside, you can spot a white sign that just reads Town Sandwich.

Outside there are two outdoor tables, and a sign that reads something like 'we're good at coffee, but even better at sandwiches.'
Inside the shop: are there seats for solo diners?
The inside of Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is on the cozy side, but one wall is full glass, so it doesn't feel cramped. I walked in with high hopes.
Right as you walk in there's a kiosk, a bar table on one side, and the sandwich and coffee menus posted on the wall.
You can see into the kitchen where they're cooking, and true to a Jamsil brunch spot, there was a no-lose prize draw board you could try after buying a sandwich. First prize is a generous coupon for a sandwich, drink, and soup set.
Desserts and the decaf Colombian beans
At the pickup counter at Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch there were desserts too — cranberry cookies, brownies, chocolate pecan cookies. I love cranberry cookies, so I definitely want to try them next time.
On one side of the self-service bar, bags of decaf Colombian beans were lined up neatly and caught my eye.
They're processed with the Mountain Water method, which removes caffeine safely using water rather than chemicals, so it seemed like a good option even for people sensitive to caffeine.
Apparently the beans carry mellow caramel and nutty almond notes, which sounded good for drinking without worry even late in the day.

How the apple jambon-beurre tasted, cut into two pieces
The apple jambon sandwich comes with smoked ham, butter, and cinnamon apple compote. It's sweet and salty, with a subtle cinnamon aroma and a fairly strong apple sweetness.
I got it cut into two pieces, and the bread itself was so crispy and delicious. The ham also had no greasiness to it, nice and lean. It wasn't a heavy baguette sandwich, which personally worked for me :)
The dippable cream soup and ube latte
The dippable cream soup (₩4,800) at Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch was a color close to corn, not that strong in flavor, but there was a lot of it. It was good dipped with the baguette.
It was my first time tasting an ube latte. It's a fairly mild flavor, but there's a coconut note that makes it slightly sweet and comforting.
They also run a Naver receipt review event, so you can get a free iced tea.
Verdict: is Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch good for eating alone?
It was a quiet, pleasant atmosphere for eating alone in Jamsil. I'd recommend Town Sandwich Jamsil to anyone looking for a jambon-beurre sandwich in the area.
If you're a fan of Jamsil baguette sandwiches, it's worth a visit.
