I went looking for a room-style BBQ restaurant for a group dinner in Bangi-dong and ended up at Yukmong.

Why Yukmong for a Bangi-dong group dinner?
I went to Yukmong, which is famous as a Bangi-dong group-dinner BBQ spot, haha. I've been eating a lot of grilled meat lately, but that day I really wanted to sit somewhere and let someone else do the grilling properly lol. So after looking around I ended up at Yukmong, which people also go to as a Bangi-dong room-style restaurant.

How many parking spots does Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch have?
I was actually surprised when I arrived because they use the entire building, so it's bigger than I expected lol. There's free parking for about 4 cars in front of the restaurant. But since Bangi-dong's back streets tend to be packed with cars, the parking space isn't exactly roomy. As you can see in the photo it's a bit tight, so if it's full you can use a nearby public or private parking lot.

There's also an outdoor menu board outside the store, so you can check the menu and prices before even going in.
1st floor, 2nd floor, basement: a different mood on every level
1st floor: the main hall
Once you go inside, the 1st floor, 2nd floor, and basement are all Yukmong. The 1st floor is a regular hall-style layout and overall pretty clean.
2nd floor: floor-to-ceiling windows

The 2nd floor has a similar atmosphere, but it has floor-to-ceiling windows, so it looks great for having a drink with your meat while looking outside.
Basement 1: the private rooms
And the basement has a totally different vibe! It's divided into separate rooms, so you don't really have to worry about other tables' eyes on you while eating. It seemed perfect not just for family gatherings or business meals but also for a Bangi-dong group-dinner BBQ spot with a decent headcount. They said the basement and 2nd floor can even be booked out entirely for private rental.
Baby chairs are also available separately, so families coming with kids should be able to use the place comfortably.
Ordering, corkage and the photo review event
You order through the kiosk on each table. Corkage is also available — wine or whisky is free for one bottle, and ₩10,000 per bottle from the second bottle, so it's pretty good if you want to bring your favorite drink to have with meat.

There was also a review event running for the direct branch. Write one receipt photo review and you get chadol hangover ramen; write two and you get yukhoe (beef tartare).
After a lot of deliberating, we ordered like this. The total came to ₩101,900.
- Korean pork sampler set ₩69,900
- Fried-egg kimchi fried rice ₩12,000
- Coca-Cola Zero ₩2,000
- Added galbi-samgyeop ₩18,000
What's in the 69,900 won Korean pork sampler set

The Korean pork sampler set comes with 300g of snowflake pork neck, 150g of galbi-samgyeop, 100g of whole galmaegisal (skirt meat), plus an ilpum doenjang stew.
Extra galbi-samgyeop for 18,000 won

This is the extra galbi-samgyeop we ordered!

Dipping sauces and the banchan table setting
The basic table setup was already pretty impressive to start lol. Just for dipping sauces alone there's truffle salt, ssamjang, buldon sauce, Japanese-style wasabi, pepper-salt sauce, and more — a huge variety. The side dishes weren't the usual plain BBQ lineup either — spicy mala cucumber salad, seasoned radish, wasabi-flavored galbi, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), all kinds of things. So even eating one type of meat, the flavor kept changing depending on what you paired it with, which I liked.

The ilpum doenjang stew included in the set came out first. It's packed with all kinds of ingredients, so every scoop pulls up a bunch of chunks lol. The broth has a subtle cheonggukjang (fermented soybean) aroma too, rich and savory, and it went really well with the meat.
Kimchi fried rice with fried egg, 12,000 won
And then the fried-egg kimchi fried rice showed up! The visual alone is insane lol. The fried rice is piled up like a little volcano on a hot iron plate, with a sunny-side-up egg with a runny yolk right on top. Just a heads up, the plate is really hot, so you have to be careful not to touch it.
Popping the yolk and mixing it all together with the kimchi fried rice brought out a great nutty richness. The salty flavor of the kimchi fried rice blended smoothly with the soft yolk, and the seasoned radish added crunch throughout, so the texture was great too.
Tableside grilling service by the staff
And then the main event — the meat. At Yukmong, a staff member comes and grills the meat for you from start to finish. The heat is seriously... really intense lol. Because the flame is so strong, you have to keep flipping at the right timing, so it seemed like it'd be pretty hard for a non-expert to grill it themselves. But since the staff member kept checking the meat's condition and grilling piece by piece, we just sat and waited to eat lol. This kind of service is so convenient. They didn't just grill the meat either — they also carefully grilled the kkwarigochu (mild peppers) and mushrooms that came with it, start to finish.
The meat, cooked to just the right doneness, gets neatly arranged on a separate plate, which felt like a nice, considerate touch.
The first bite was just with a touch of salt, to taste the meat's own nutty flavor first, and after that we tried combining it one by one with the various signature sauces and side dishes on the table.

Personally, the combination with fresh wasabi and ginger was really delicious. The rich, hearty flavor of the meat with a sharp, refreshing kick cleaned up the palate completely.

And wrapping a piece of meat in fresh lettuce along with a well-grilled mushroom slice and kkwarigochu gives a totally different feel lol. With a full bite, the meat's aroma, the mushroom's juiciness, and the pepper's flavor all hit at once along with the sauce, and it's a full-on party in your mouth.
Is Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch worth it for a group dinner with rooms?
The meat itself was great, but with so many side dishes and sauces to choose from, it was fun mixing and matching different combinations from start to finish. Most of all, the staff were all friendly and grilled the meat for us, which made things really easy. The restaurant is also spread across the 1st floor, 2nd floor, and basement, with separate rooms, so it seemed easy to use depending on group size or purpose.
If you're looking for a Bangi-dong room-style restaurant where you can chat comfortably over meat, or a Bangi-dong group-dinner BBQ spot for several people, Yukmong seems worth a try. From the meat to the side dishes and basic banchan and service overall, I left very satisfied. Next time I'd like to come with a bigger group and relax in a room with some meat and a drink lol.
