There's a burger spot near Seongsu Station I stopped at for an early dinner when I was out in Seongsu — bd Burger! My shrimp-loving friend Bangul-gongju spotted the burger visuals and got so curious we walked right in, and it turned out to have great value, thick patties, and tasty sides. Here's the review!

Where is bd Burger Seongsu, and how do you find the 2nd-floor entrance?

bd Burger is tucked in the alley of Seongsu's café street, close to hotspots like Musinsa Store. It's on the 2nd floor, so you have to find this entrance!

Even the walk up feels exotic and hip, straight-up Seongsu vibes....! The name bd comes from the logo shape — two thumbs-up hands!

There's a big full-length mirror right by the entrance too, perfect for a quick mirror selfie.

The interior isn't huge, but there are quite a few 2-person tables, so it holds a decent number of people! Looked like a mix of friends, dates, and solo diners.

Near the entrance there's a self-serve bar with straws, ketchup, small plates and more, so you can grab whatever you need yourself.

Once you order soda, you just grab a cup and fill it yourself too.

What's on the bd Burger menu, and what are the signatures?

Take a look at the menu! The shrimp-patty Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger and Wasabi Shrimp Burger, plus the eggplant fritters as a side, are the signature items.

The side dishes were surprisingly unique! And with milkshakes on the menu too, it felt totally like a Western-style burger joint.

You order on the tablet at each table, and while you wait, a notice pops up telling you to come pick it up at the pickup bar!

What does the bd Burger milkshake taste like?

For drinks we ordered a soda and a milkshake.

Honestly, this isn't a café, so I didn't expect to be sipping a milkshake alongside a burger near Seongsu Station, but it turned out to be a really rich, milky, heavy, sweet shake! Great for a sugar boost and blowing off some stress.

And here's the burger sets we ordered! Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger and Wasabi Shrimp Burger, each as a set. For sides, we split it — one with eggplant + mushroom fritters, the other with butter garlic fries!

The visuals are amazing, right? The toppings on these burgers are so thick they're practically bursting out! This is exactly the charm of a hand-made burger....!

The Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger was loaded with char-grilled shrimp, fresh avocado, tomato, and onion. The sauce was a spicy sriracha that paired really well with the shrimp.

Honestly, when a burger has whole shrimp in it, places often skimp and give you just three or four, but bd Burger packs the shrimp in generously so there's nothing to be disappointed about!

And then there's the truly monstrous-pattied Wasabi Shrimp Burger. It's loaded with a patty made from fried minced shrimp, wasabi mayo, and a heap of fresh vegetable salad. It's so thick you can barely eat it in one bite — you practically need a knife to cut it.

Whoa... can you see the fried shrimp patty?! It's packed full of real shrimp inside, with a bouncy, springy texture that's so good! Honestly, I don't think anything else near Seongsu Station matches this quality?! It really had that hand-made burger charm, full of care, that's different from your typical chain.

Are the butter garlic fries at bd Burger worth it?

The butter garlic fries come with seasoned fries drenched in a generous amount of butter garlic sauce. The fries themselves are seasoned, and with the sweet-and-salty sauce on top, it's a seriously bold side dish! There's also a good amount, so it's very filling.

How were the eggplant and button mushroom fritters?

And now the side I was most curious about — eggplant fritters and king oyster mushroom fritters! Eggplant is one of those foods a lot of people are picky about, so I was curious how it would taste fried.

Chinese restaurants often have eggplant fritters too, but these were a bit different — the batter felt more Western style....! Dipped in sauce, the seasoning was great, crispy outside and moist inside, and it actually went really well with the burger.

As for the mushroom fritters — I first tried something like this in Vienna, Austria and loved it, but it's been hard to find here in Korea, which always bummed me out. So I was really happy to get to eat it again here. It wasn't greasy at all, and the crispiness plus the mushroom's aroma really came through, making the flavor feel even more upgraded!

Overall this was such a satisfying burger spot near Seongsu Station. The sides were distinctive and tasty, and the burger toppings were so generously packed that it made for a really filling meal. I'd love to come back again~~
