Korean BBQ set for 6 coworkers near Mangpo Station, Suwon: Olheun Gogi
In short
Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Mangpo Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi, where staff grill the meat for you at the table. Six coworkers started with the Pork Full Set (₩118,000) featuring Korean beef tartare, grilled cheese, and steamed egg, then added the Couple Set (₩48,000). The portions were enough to fill six grown men, and for value, the Couple Set with an extra menu item and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) is the recommended combo.

I was looking for a BBQ spot to take my favorite coworkers to, focusing on places near subway stations, and I happened to find Olheun Gogi, a well-known Korean BBQ restaurant near Mangpo Station in Suwon. I figured this would be the place, made a reservation, and had a great time eating meat together.

Pork Full Set + Couple Set
There were six of us adults, so we sat at a table for six and started with the Pork Full Set.

The Pork Full Set (₩118,000) includes Korean beef tartare, cheese, steamed egg, and the Korean pork set! (pork belly + pork neck + deossal)

The atmosphere and seating
The restaurant is set up open-plan with room for multiple tables, and there are no separate private rooms. Still, the tables are spaced far apart, so it wasn't uncomfortable at all for a group gathering.
First, they set out the side dishes: mountain leek (myeongi namul), young radish kimchi, pickled cucumber, salted napa cabbage, plus salt and a ssamjang (dipping sauce) + garlic combo.

Starting with Korean beef tartare
After setting up the charcoal grill, we started with the Korean beef tartare (yukhoe)! The pear was stacked up like a mound of diced radish kimchi, with the tartare piled deliciously on top — an overwhelming visual!!!
After that, they gave us 9 pieces of grillable cheese.

Cheese, of all things? That's what I thought at first, but once you actually eat it, it's absolutely fantastic!!

The meat came out all set up. The food came out looking delicious, with meat plus vegetables — sweet pumpkin, king oyster mushroom, onion, and garlic scapes.

Steamed egg
Then came the steamed egg — wow, how many eggs are in this thing? Six? No, I'd guess even more than that. It was so soft it just slid right down!

It was incredibly soft with a great texture going down — a perfect fit.
Staff grill the meat for you
Olheun Gogi's best feature!
'They grill the meat for you!'
The most inconvenient part of a Korean BBQ restaurant is having to grill the meat yourself. At this place, the staff handled it for us, taking away that hassle.
The pork belly came out as a whole Jeju-style slab, and having it grilled to perfection for us was genuinely touching, T_T. The staff kindly explained each cut and personally handed out each piece as it finished grilling — it really felt like being taken care of!
We clinked glasses of somaek (soju + beer) for our first toast. Isn't a moment like this one of the joys of working life?

A piece of pork belly with the seasoned vegetables melted right into the meat as one..! Next, paired with mountain leek.

Meat and grilled cheese combo
The cheese gets grilled. Eating it together with the meat, the ultra-smooth cheese and the clean flavor of the pork were fantastic... I was second-guessing whether meat and cheese would even go together well, and I take it all back! I'm going to try grilling cheese with meat at home!

With 6 people, the Couple Set add-on is plenty
Next came the Couple Set (₩48,000) — two pieces of pork belly, one piece of pork neck.

And here's the meat once grilled — ta-da!
I'd recommend the Couple Set as a generous add-on menu item if there are six of you. It was enough to fill six adult men! In a way, compared to the Pork Full Set, it's the better-value option. If you want to eat on a budget, the combo of Couple Set + an extra menu item + doenjang jjigae also sounds good.
Overall review
Choosing Olheun Gogi was truly the right call! The set menu compositions were spot-on, and especially the Korean beef tartare and cheese combo was a signature experience you can only get here! Isn't meeting up with friends who share your wavelength and common interests during your working life also one of life's joys? We had an especially memorable time sharing good food and drinks at Olheun Gogi. Next time I'm in Mangpo, I'll definitely come back here!
