Realistic display model of the octopus skewer menu item

A model that's a 1000% match with the real thing~~! lol

Tissue paper and wet wipes provided at the shop

Since it's street food, your hands get messy a lot, and if you come with kids you'll go through tissues fast — but they had tissue paper and wet wipes ready, so it was really convenient. You could feel the owner's thoughtfulness there!

There's a trash bin right across the street, so please dispose of your trash there.

Octopus grilled over an open flame, and the sauce

While waiting at Munkkocchi Mungangjeong, I watched them grill everything over open flame. You even get to see a bit of a fire show haha. I didn't know it was flame-grilled — no wonder it tastes so good!! Flame-grilled, always a safe bet~~

Loaded with sauce and bonito flakes!! They really don't skimp on ingredients. Total win!! It's so disappointing when there's not enough sauce on stuff like this...hahaha

Katsuo mungangjeong, 8,500 won: how the fried octopus tastes

The katsuo mungangjeong turned out to be octopus coated in batter and fried, then topped with bonito flakes and sauce like takoyaki.

Crispy outside, tender inside~ I was worried the octopus might be chewy, but it was insanely soft!! Even better than I expected lol

Cheese chicken skewer topped with mozzarella cheese

Spicy cheese chicken skewer, 6,000 won: how hot is it?

The cheese chicken skewer — just looking at that golden, cheesy visual already looks amazing!! Chicken skewers topped with mozzarella cheese and warmed in the oven.

Close-up of the oven-warmed cheese chicken skewer

The chicken was plump and tender, and so delicious. I'm pretty spice-sensitive, but even though it's spicy, the cheese mellowed it out, so I really enjoyed it! The sweet-and-spicy sauce was great too, and since the cheese was 100% real, it had a nutty, savory flavor.

A single skewer of katsuo octopus, mild flavor

Here's the katsuo octopus skewer.

Octopus skewer piled high with bonito flakes

I love bonito flakes, and they gave me a generous amount, so I was so happy eating bite after bite lol

Plump whole octopus threaded onto the skewer

I flipped it over to check out the octopus, curious about how it looked, and seeing the plump, whole piece of octopus threaded on the skewer made me go 'wow~' out loud lol

They gave a generous amount on the skewer too, so I pulled it off to share and dipped each piece.

Cross-section showing the thick octopus meat

It was big and thick, so each bite was really filling, the octopus flavor was great, and it paired well with the sweet-and-salty teriyaki mayo sauce — so tasty.
