Lamb skewer restaurant in Gwangju, Gyeonggi with water naengmyeon
In short
Sinbaegok Yang Kkochi Gyeongan Branch is a two-story lamb skewer restaurant in Gyeongan-dong, Gwangju, Gyeonggi. The writer ordered lamb skewers, spicy lamb skewers, three-color guobaorou (sweet and sour crispy pork), and water naengmyeon (cold noodle soup), and the squid ink guobaorou stood out most among the three flavors. With a spacious second-floor space good for group dinners, gatherings, and dates, plus an outdoor-tent feel, this is a place worth revisiting.

The menu board and what we ordered

I ordered lamb skewers ₩17,000, spicy lamb skewers ₩18,000, three-color guobaorou ₩25,000, and water naengmyeon ₩8,000!
The second-floor atmosphere

Sinbaegok Yang Kkochi is rising as a Gwangju hotspot! They run all kinds of review events too, so don't miss out~
Hahahaha the wording on the sign is a bit awkward!!!! But still, a super modern restaurant with neon signs~
The spacious, comfortable second-floor space works for company dinners, gatherings, dates, family meals — anything! Even though it's the second floor, it felt breezy and had that outdoor-tent vibe, which I loved.

Apparently you can order all sorts of dishes here, not just lamb skewers!! You don't even have to order the skewers — you can visit just for the other dishes, so ordering feels pretty flexible.

Original lamb skewers and spicy lamb skewers
The original and spicy lamb skewers arrive! Substantial portions~ I loved how quickly they came out! And there were so many staff, all of them so friendly, which made it even better.

There were tons of lighter dishes starting in the ₩10,000s range, and every single dish is cooked to order right on the spot! What's more, the chef is originally from Northeast China, so the visuals and plating were on point! And of course, the taste was flawless too.

You can't resist beer with lamb skewers, right~ We must have gone through 3-4 bottles each hahaha! The charcoal fire was so strong the skewers cooked in no time!

Three-color guobaorou — squid ink is the kick
There were so many good-value dishes for the price. The variety was huge too — you could spend half a day just picking. And the thing I loved the most, the three-color guobaorou!!!!!!

Chili, squid ink, and plain guobaorou — honestly all three were delicious. But the squid ink one is the real kick,,
Turns out the squid ink guobaorou is even sold on its own as a separate menu item. Apparently it got so popular they made it a standalone dish, and honestly, no wonder!!!!!!! I wanted to just scoop that one up alone.
My lamb skewers spinning round and round,, 20 pieces gone in a flash.

Finishing with water naengmyeon
Whenever I go to a lamb skewer place, I always order water naengmyeon. It's better than the warm noodle version!!! And it's fun how the naengmyeon tastes differently at each lamb skewer restaurant.
I ordered it here too, no exceptions — and wow, this was a total success. The noodles were so chewy, and the broth — no need to even say. It really felt like it washed straight down and settled my stomach. Great as a beer pairing too! Thanks for the meal :)
Would I come back? Absolutely — nurse-level five stars ★★★★★
