Korean beef hot pot with parents in Michuhol, Incheon: Dongchuwon
In short
Dongchuwon Bulgogi is a bulgogi and Korean beef hot pot restaurant near Singi Market in Hagik-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon. The writer brought their parents and ordered the large Korean beef bosin jeongol (nourishing beef hot pot), topped up with refill broth, perilla seed dipping sauce, and hand-pulled dough soup dumplings. A private room and a kids' seating area made it an easy pick for a family gathering.

A restaurant worth knowing in Hagik-dong, Incheon: Dongchuwon Bulgogi. Today I want to introduce a great spot near Singi Market in Hagik-dong, Incheon, for taking your parents out or gathering the whole family for a tidy, proper Korean meal! With a clean, comfortable atmosphere and a solid menu, this place gets recommended as a family gathering spot in Hagik-dong — Dongchuwon Bulgogi. From the menu to my visit review, here it is in today's post.
Location, hours, and parking

Dongchuwon Bulgogi is located near Singi Market in Hagik-dong, Incheon, so it was really easy to get to. It's open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM with no break time, which I liked — you can just drop by whenever.

We drove, and using the Hagik parking lot diagonally across the street got us parking fee support, so I could eat with no worries!

Before going in, a row of blue ribbons 💙 lined up at the entrance. It's not easy to earn even one of those blue ribbons, let alone a whole row of them — my expectations were rising before I'd even eaten :)
The atmosphere and the private room

Walking inside, you're greeted with that warm yet clean atmosphere unique to Korean restaurants! On one side there's a kids' seating area along with tables for 5–6, which looked great for dining with young children.

There's especially a well-set-up private room in the back, perfect for a family gathering that needs some private conversation! The spacious, comfortable interior and neat table settings made me glad I'd brought my parents here.

They also sell products near the entrance, good for a light pickup after your meal :)
The menu

The signature here is bulgogi! There's old-style bulgogi and Korean beef bulgogi, and adding a set gives you better value across various combinations :)
They also sell single-serving meals like Korean beef bosin gukbap (nourishing beef soup with rice) and yukhoe bibimbap (raw beef mixed rice), so it's fine to stop by for lunch too.
There's a nice variety of side dishes to share too, so it's fun picking what to order 🎶
How was the large Korean beef bosin jeongol?

The basic side dishes were radish salad, pickled onion, mustard leaf kimchi, kimchi, and salad. Every one of these banchan tasted clean and fresh. It was also nice that you could easily scoop more from the self-serve bar if you ran out :)

I knew this place was famous for bulgogi, but I chose the large Korean beef bosin jeongol because I wanted to take care of my parents' health! The big hot pot came out packed edge-to-edge with fresh ingredients — the visual alone, the moment it hit the table, looked hearty and filling 👍

And giving us a separate refill broth was a nice touch 👍 As the broth simmers longer it gets saltier, so we adjusted it to our taste by adding more in between :)

There was plenty of meat and vegetables in it, and it truly felt like something nourishing, living up to its name. It had a bit of a black goat hot pot or nutritious tonic soup kind of feel, but since it uses Korean beef instead, there was none of that gamey smell — which I liked!

With the richly steeped broth and a subtle spicy kick added in, this was the real deal! The moment a spoonful of broth went down, I let out an automatic 'ahh~' as my insides warmed right up 👍 I hadn't even been drinking the night before, but it felt exactly like a hangover cure plus a health boost.

The Korean beef especially had no toughness at all — it was tender to chew. Good for parents with weaker teeth, and kids would probably enjoy it without any resistance too!

And the sauce that came alongside was the kicker! Dip it lightly in the special perilla seed sauce and the nutty flavor doubles, making it even more delicious~
Hand-pulled dough soup dumplings and ice cream after

Can't skip adding sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup dumplings) to this broth 😂 I was already full from the rice, but they gave a generous amount of sujebi too, so I really ate until stuffed!

And ice cream after the meal — what a nice touch 😉 I happened to be craving something sweet after eating, and it wrapped things up perfectly as a palate cleanser :)

If you're looking for a good restaurant to take your parents to around Hagik-dong or Singi Market, or want a hearty meal of Korean beef hot pot, give Dongchuwon Bulgogi a visit :)
