Chungmuro craft beer bar in Seoul: four-beer sampler at Boah Boah
In short
Boah Boah (브아브아) is a craft beer bar hidden in the printing-shop alley on the basement floor of Chungmu Building, near Exit 7 of Chungmuro Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. The Sampler A set at Boah Boah brought four beers — Neomsabyeok, Kelly, Mamma Mia Pilsner and Salty Tomato Sour — alongside premium trimmed dried pollack and a Tsuru no Ume yuzu highball. Even on a rainy weekday Boah Boah filled up quickly, yet it stayed quiet enough for an easy drink.

It was raining, and once evening rolled around I really wanted a drink. I went to a Chungmuro favorite with famous bar snacks — this Euljiro bar with a loyal following.

Where is Boah Boah and how do you find it?
Boah Boah, a craft beer bar hidden in the print shop alley of Chungmuro, sits on the basement floor of Chungmu Building near Exit 7 of Chungmuro Station. It can be a little confusing the first time — it's not inside Chungmu Building itself. Look to the left of the building and you'll see stairs going down; follow them and a red entrance appears.

This Euljiro bar is run by an internationally certified beer sommelier who introduces high-quality, distinctive beers from both local and international breweries, so it's a must-visit for anyone who genuinely loves beer.

Inside Boah Boah: mood and seating
The inside of Boah Boah isn't huge, but it has a cozy atmosphere for drinking beer, and being close to hip Euljiro 3-ga and Chungmuro makes it really convenient to reach.

Boah Boah has 4-seat tables, 2-seat tables, and group seating further inside, so it works well whether you come with friends, a date, or a bigger group.

It was pouring rain and a weekday, so I figured it'd be empty — but right after we sat down, customers kept streaming in and the place filled up fast. Good thing we didn't come any later, haha.

Katsu at lunch, craft beer at night: the menu
This Chungmuro spot serves handmade katsu for lunch and runs as a casual craft beer pub in the evenings. Looking at the menu, the katsu dishes are lunch-only, while dinner brings a wide lineup of craft beers, highballs, regular drinks, whiskey, and wine — a really diverse drinks list, and plenty of tasty snacks too.

Once you order, they bring out a complimentary snack — super crispy, one of those addictive crackers you can't stop reaching for, haha.
What comes in the Boah Boah Sampler A set: four beers

It'd be a shame to try just one beer at a craft beer specialist, right? Luckily this Euljiro bar sells a sampler so you can taste picks from their full lineup of ten. We went with the A set!
We got to try No. 1 Neomsabyeok, No. 4 Kelly, No. 6 Mamma Mia Pilsner, and No. 10 Salty Tomato Sour. They recommend starting with the lagers first.

We were dying for a cold beer, so we clinked glasses right away — and wow, I got it, I understood exactly why this place is always packed. Seriously amazing, T_T!! Beer being this good, it just kept going down easy, gulp after gulp.
Premium trimmed dried pollack and friends: how big is the portion?
Next the snacks came out, and the portion size genuinely surprised me — the dried pollack and friends plate arrived absolutely loaded.

They packed in a variety of crackers too, plus a mayonnaise dip perfect for the dried pollack and a handful of nuts — so much to eat!! They even prepare mayonnaise on the side so it's easy to dip and enjoy.

The dried pollack is grilled just right, so the crispiness really holds up, and it's an absolutely perfect match with beer. Delicious enough that your hand keeps reaching back for more! It made me think the lunch katsu here must be excellent too. From the beer to the snacks, everything was so good my hand never stopped moving, haha.

Tsuru no Ume yuzu highball and the verdict on Boah Boah
After enjoying the beer, I also ordered a highball, one of my usual favorites! The refreshing flavor with that extra fizz hits your stomach the moment you drink it, and all the fatigue just melts away. The craft beer here is great and the highball is fantastic too.
What surprised me was that even at full capacity, the vibe never got overwhelmingly loud — genuinely a great time at this hip Euljiro-area bar. If you're looking for an Euljiro bar with tasty snacks and a good atmosphere, I fully recommend this Chungmuro favorite, Boah Boah.
