It was a weekend, and we'd set off from Seoul to check out the newly opened Incheon Maritime Museum. There's one thing that's quietly essential on an outing with a kid — filling up properly before you go, you know. Haha.

So we ended up choosing lunch carefully. I asked, "What should we eat?" but honestly the menu was already decided. Our son loves bulgogi so much that of course it was bulgogi again that day! 😎

While searching for good places to eat in Incheon, I found one said to be pretty famous for bulgogi around Sinjang Market and Hagik-dong, and headed straight there.

When the bulgogi (marinated beef) arrived, my mouth was watering just from the look of it. Seoul-style bulgogi typically comes with a light, shallow broth, simmered together with meat and vegetables.

The meat was completely tender, the seasoning wasn't harsh at all, and the texture of the beef was really good.

What I liked most was that there was no gamey smell to the meat, and the seasoning wasn't excessively sweet.

Bulgogi can easily get sickening after a few bites if it's too sweet or too salty, but here it was the kind of flavor that kept pulling my chopsticks back with rice. Both my son and my husband ate so well.😊

We also got to make our own bulgogi burger. Eating it as a little extra treat, it tasted great.

And we ordered the post-meal naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) too. It's included in the bulgogi set, so it's all ₩0! 👍

Is it good for family gatherings or work dinners too?

It was a restaurant I'd be quite satisfied with for family gatherings or work dinners too. Looking around as we ate, I noticed families with kids, and the layout worked well for larger groups eating together.

There's a private room at the very back of the restaurant, which seemed perfect for anyone looking for a family gathering spot in Incheon.

For family meals with kids, having a space where you can relax without worrying too much about the people around you really matters. Even more so when you're with your parents.

The room would probably be useful too for a work dinner where several people gather together. Good food plus a comfortable space really does make for a solid choice of meeting spot.

We stopped here before heading from Seoul to the Incheon Maritime Museum, and the whole family ate well and moved on to the rest of our plans in good spirits. What made me most satisfied was that we picked it for our son's favorite dish, and it turned out to suit the adults' tastes just as well.
