Today I was craving some delicious pork belly, so when I heard about a Korean BBQ place run by an owner who has personally spent tens of millions of won eating out over the years, I headed to Sindang-dong. This is Beefjeong Gogi Jip, a Korean BBQ restaurant that says it only serves raw meat the owner hand-checks and selects every day from Majang-dong. It's exactly the kind of place you want on a day you're craving a good meal with a drink.

Beefjeong's sign, one minute from Sindang Station Exit 8, caught my eye right away. If you order 4 servings or more you can reserve a meat cake, which makes for a great showpiece on a birthday or anniversary visit. The bright, lively atmosphere seemed like it would work really well for a Sindang company dinner or group gathering.
Inside Beefjeong Gogi Jip: is the seating good for group dinners?
Inside, the tables are spaced generously, so the layout works for both big group dinners and smaller get-togethers. The lighting leans bright and warm, which made it comfortable to sit and eat for a while.

Inside, warm bright lighting sets a comfortable mood for dining. The tables are spaced generously enough that you can chat without being bothered by noise from nearby diners. The neatly arranged grills and seating make it well suited for group dinners or small gatherings alike. At the table next to us, a group who'd clearly come for a company dinner or gathering looked like they were having a great time.
Beefjeong Gogi Jip menu and the side dishes that come with it
Beefjeong hand-picks its raw meat from Majang-dong every day, and the restaurant lets you enjoy both Korean beef (hanwoo) and Korean native pork (handon) in one place. This time we ordered frozen pork belly, Korean native pork neck, and the Beefjeong burger.

Because the meat is hand-selected from Majang-dong every day, the freshness of the raw meat itself really stood out.

Even the basic side dishes were neatly arranged and worked well to cut through the richness of the meat. The meat's own flavor was so good that even with just a touch of salt or wasabi, my mouth filled with savory depth. The rice dishes and specialty side menus were distinctive and high quality too, which made for a really satisfying restaurant overall. This time we ordered frozen pork belly, Korean native pork neck, and finally the distinctive Beefjeong burger.

Flash-frozen samgyeopsal (pork belly)
Beefjeong's frozen pork belly kept its grain and juiciness intact even while frozen. Once it hit the grill, rich juices ran out and a savory smell drifted up.

Grilled until crisp and taken for a bite, the crunchy texture gave way to a savory meat aroma that lingered and built the more I ate.
Korean-raised pork neck
Beefjeong's Korean native pork neck grabbed my attention with its sheer thickness alone. Grilled golden on the outside while staying juicy inside, the burst of juice with each bite was impressive.

The lean-to-fat ratio was near perfect, so with every bite the clean, mild flavor balanced beautifully with the richness — a truly excellent pork neck.
The handmade Beefjeong burger
Ordered as a specialty item, the Beefjeong burger showed off a quality and personality hard to believe was coming from a Korean BBQ restaurant menu. The deep meaty aroma from the thick handmade patty, the soft bun, and the special sauce all came together beautifully.

It was a distinctive, appealing choice to close out the meal, and the juicy patty — true to a Sindang Station Korean BBQ spot — really elevated the burger.
