Near Cheomdan Hospital, how to get there

Wood-toned interior and tablet ordering
Stepping inside, the clean, warm wood-toned interior added to the atmosphere, making me think it would be perfect for a date or family meal ^-^

Each table had a tablet menu, so we could check the menu and order comfortably. We wanted to try a bit of everything, so we combined the mixed set with a seasonal special!

1. The ultimate variety! Triple Mixed Katsu set (₩14,900)
When there are too many types of tonkatsu to choose from, a mixed platter is always the answer!

The signature menu of Jeongseong Katsu, a Japanese tonkatsu restaurant in Ssangam-dong, Gwangju, the Triple Mixed Katsu lets you fully enjoy rosu katsu, hire katsu, and cheese katsu — a fantastic value menu haha. It comes with a taste of curry, udon broth, and salad, a really satisfying set!

The difference between hire katsu and rosu katsu
The hire katsu, with its slightly pink, juicy interior, melted softly and cleanly the moment it hit my mouth, while the rosu katsu stood out for its nutty flavor and crispiness.

What does the cheese katsu taste like?
Above all, the cheese katsu was packed with rich, savory cheese that stretched out with every bite — so satisfying lol. Dipping it lightly in wasabi, the special sauce, and salt kept it interesting the whole time!

2. Refreshingly chewy! Cold udon + 4 pieces of hire katsu
With the hot weather, I wanted the broth with ice floating in it, so I chose cold udon paired with a single katsu order! I added ₩1,000 to the base cold udon to add 4 pieces of hire katsu ^-^

The cold udon was topped generously with savory fried tofu, tempura flakes, seaweed flakes, and green onion, and the noodles were so wonderfully bouncy and chewy that I couldn't help but be impressed.

Taking a sip of the refreshing, deeply savory broth and following it with a bite of the juicy hire katsu that came alongside — the pairing was truly perfect!
