Busan sushi restaurant with tuna belly: Moshi Moshi Sushi
In short
Moshi Moshi Sushi Lotte Department Store Gwangbok is a Japanese restaurant on the 10th floor of Lotte Department Store, connected to Nampo Station in Jung-gu, Busan. I enjoyed Assorted Sushi D, assorted tempura, and à la carte sushi, especially the special-sauce tofu, perfectly thawed tuna belly, and tender abalone. A polished sushi meal with easy parking and shopping afterward.

I searched hard for great sushi near Nampo Station and found a place with easy parking and a perfect shopping route, too! Located inside the department store, it had a pleasant setting, excellent food quality, and such clean, thoughtfully presented dishes that I honestly fell for it.

A meal that flows right into department store shopping

Since it is inside the department store, parking was sooo easy! Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, and Lotte Cinema are all together in one huge complex, making it perfect for a full, fun day out 🛍️
Before eating, I looked around the department store and browsed cute little lifestyle shops. After all that excited browsing, the meal tasted even better somehow. Then after eating, I could comfortably shop around and naturally walk off my meal, so the whole route was really satisfying.
The exterior combines tidy wood tones with modern interiors for a distinctly upscale feel. My anticipation was already racing before I went in 💕
A busy dining room with a lunchtime wait

Here are photos of the dining room right after we came in. Clean and upscale, right?

This was taken during our meal. At peak lunch hour, it was full and there was even a wait. So glad we came early... phew~~
Ordering Assorted Sushi D and assorted tempura

We ordered the Assorted Sushi D set (₩35,000), assorted tempura (₩17,000), and à la carte sushi: 4 inari sushi, 2 beef sushi, 1 tuna sushi, and 1 flounder sushi!

Everything arrived neatly arranged on individual trays, and it made me feel so looked after that I was smiling before I even ate 😊
I was taking photos, but I was dying to dig in already..
How was the tofu appetizer with special sauce?

🥗 That incredible special tofu sauce. The tofu served as a pre-meal appetizer was seriously something else! The sauce felt like it blended the rich flavors of mayonnaise and ranch dressing, and one bite made my eyes pop open.
It was so addictive that I would absolutely buy it if it were sold separately—I even dipped the tempura in it! 😋
Crisp, non-greasy assorted tempura

🍤 The assorted tempura (₩17,000) included shrimp, sweet potato, eggplant, and potato croquette. It arrived freshly fried and wonderfully crisp, yet the batter was not oily at all, so it never became heavy even when I ate a lot.

That potato croquette was insane 🍟 I usually prefer sweet potatoes because regular potatoes can feel a little dry. But wow, the potato filling was unbelievably soft haha.
A sushi spread with abalone and tuna belly

Here is Assorted Sushi D (12 pieces of sushi + 3 pieces of tempura + mini udon), along with the à la carte sushi: 4 inari sushi, 2 beef sushi, 1 tuna sushi, and 1 flounder sushi.

There was abalone, shrimp, fin meat, smoked salmon, tuna belly, eel, yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), and more—my mouth was watering so muchㅠㅠ

🦪 The abalone was OMG-level tender—so soft it felt like I could eat it with just my gums.
🐟 The tuna belly was thawed in truly legendary fashion! If tuna is under-thawed, it can be icy and crunchy; if it is over-thawed, it can get mushy and taste oily. This was thawed just right, leaving a savory, clean fatty richness with every chew. I ate it so happily.

🐠 Fin meat can sometimes have a fishy taste elsewhere, but this had no off smell or chewiness at all. The savory fat came through more and more as I chewed, and it stayed impeccably clean until I swallowed.
🍣 The smoked salmon sushi was delicious already, but the torch-added smoky aroma made its flavor and soft texture absolutely artistic.
🥩 The yukhoe sushi had a soy sauce and sesame oil base that clung beautifully to the palate. It was not overly sweet—exactly the clean, savory style I love—so I gave it instant seal claps 👏👏👏

Even the mini udon had such a generous portion that I wondered, “Is this really mini?” It made for a truly filling meal. 🍲
For a polished sushi meal in Nampo-dong
From the incredible appetizer sauce to the neatly composed meal, fresh sushi, and clean interior, this was a wonderfully complete restaurant with nothing missing.
Looking around, I saw lots of people enjoying different set menus to suit their group size and preferences! The sets with noodle dishes or warm chashu also looked seriously tempting. 🤤 On my next visit, I plan to come back for another satisfying set combination.
- With the department store, mart, and cinema together, parking and date-day logistics are easy. 🚗
- The interior is clean, and the refined tray-set presentation feels upscale. 🍱
- The special-sauce tofu appetizer was so good that I wanted to ask them to sell it separately. 🥗
- I had well-thawed tuna belly, tender abalone, and fin-meat sushi without any fishiness. 🍣
- I also enjoyed freshly fried, crisp, non-greasy tempura and generously portioned udon. 🍤
A Nampo-dong sushi spot where you can enjoy a high-quality, fresh sushi spread in comfort, without worrying about parking!
