Bueongi Maeul actually has two locations! They're right across from each other! Left is the main branch, right is the annex. There's also outdoor seating, which is nice now that the weather's cooling off :)

No dedicated store parking, so you'll want to use the Bupyeong public parking lot! (₩500 per 10 minutes / ₩15,000 for a full day)

What's the interior like at both branches?

Ordering instructions placed on the table

You order at the table and they bring it over! We started with the pork ribs one plate (800g)!

Pre-marinated pork ribs one plate (800g) served in a tray

The pork ribs one plate (800g) comes pre-marinated and pre-cooked in the secret sauce, served in a tray :)

Even though they're partially cooked already, the thicker parts still need extra time on the grill!

Marinated pork ribs grilling on the pan

Just grill them sizzling and dig in! I guess it's thanks to the 40-year secret sauce marinade — the ribs were delicious even on their own, haha! They also went great with the fish sauce

A piece of pork rib with sauce, pollack roe, and scallion salad

Still, they're even better if you dip the ribs in the sauce and add the pollack roe, scallion salad, and chili✨️ It's actually written in the instructions, haha

Some of the ribs are thick or have bone in them, but they cut easily, so if you slice them up and grill a bit longer, you can enjoy them like this :)

Doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), small

Small doenjang jjigae with fried tofu, tofu, and beef

Here's the doenjang jjigae, small size! It has fried tofu, tofu, and beef in it! It has exactly that hearty, old-school doenjang flavor! Great to eat with rice, so

We ordered rice too :)

Haejang ramyeon (hangover ramyeon)

Haejang ramyeon with chili and onion

Here's the haejang ramyeon! It's Shin Ramyun with chili (spicy) and onion added! The broth is sharp and spicy, which really hit the spot! It came out perfectly cooked too!

Eating it together with the ribs like this is really delicious :)

Final thoughts

The portion on one plate is seriously huge!! We nearly filled up on the meat alone! If you're in Bupyeong-dong looking for good BBQ, I recommend this pork rib specialist, ✨️Bueongi Maeul✨️🌿
