Steamed clams first, then a Nampo-dong karaoke bar for round two

Met up with a friend after a long time on a happy Friday +_+ My friend treated me for my birthday, saying she'd buy something good. We had steamed clams for round one, then debated where to go for round two in Nampo-dong,, back when we were young, the last stop was always a norae-jubang (karaoke bar). Felt like my first time in one in like 10 years! Juju Norae Town, tucked into the Bupyeong-dong pork feet (jokbal) alley.

This building has all the good stuff — Busan jokbal, Mala Kungjeon, everything ~~~ hahaha you can go from round one straight through in the same building. Juju Norae Town is on the 4th floor, so hop in the elevator and go!

Already super popular among Nampo-dong bars for its trendy, clean interior and spacious rooms! Weekdays have unlimited room time, which is amazing. On top of that, it's apparently the only place with no limit on side dishes.

Room size and cleanliness — way too big for two of us

So many rooms, and each one was bigger than expected. Each room's size is overwhelming! The hallway was tidy too, and the whole interior was impressively clean.

You know that old-school smell of stale cigarettes and grimy sofas at older places..? ㅠㅠ hahaha, back in the day we went to those places without a second thought..

Juju Norae Town's room is genuinely clean and nice. First of all, it's massive!! The two of us in here..? hahahaha honestly this could easily fit a group of 10+! The lighting wasn't too dark either, which I liked ~! They really know how to use indirect lighting well. Such a stylishly decorated Nampo-dong bar haha, perfect for singing and having a blast.

Tablet ordering and sound quality

Ordering was easy since each room has its own tablet! Back in the day it was all done over that intercom thing.. probably still plenty of those left in Nampo-dong hahaha. And the sound quality at Juju Norae Town was loud and great.

Unlimited refills on the basic side dishes

The basic side dishes come out first, and they're pretty generous. Basic side dishes get unlimited refills haha.

FYI, ramyeon (instant noodles) eaten while drinking = the tastiest thing ever. There's a ₩2,000 charge for extra ramyeon. But even with the extra charge, it's the best side dish. We added some too ^_^ one drink led to another..

Whew hahaha the basic side dishes are solid. The ever-reliable fried egg!!! Popcorn chicken goes great with beer too! Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) ㅠㅠㅠ obviously great, no question. Fried fish flakes and fish-shaped bread with red bean filling too~~ so much variety. And somehow they even know when you're craving something cold and bring out patbingsu (shaved ice with red bean) too — what a nice touch.

Hahahaha, our first time at a Nampo-dong bar as a duo, and of course we end up in a room this huge. Used it pretty lonesomely, but it was so nice and comfortable.

Seasonal fruit and hot ramyeon

A Nampo-dong bar that gets even non-snackers eating. We ordered the safest option, seasonal fruit, and got watermelon, shine muscat grapes, peach, apple, kiwi, banana, melon. Way more variety than expected haha. Sweet and really delicious too.

And of course we had to boil up some hot ramyeon. Nice touch that they even gave us an egg. Just be careful boiling it while you're singing ^^ why? hahaha it's so spicy you end up coughing your lungs out.

Karaoke, club, and trot mode for switching up the vibe

Couldn't let go of our old-school energy, so we sang up front ^^ you can switch between karaoke, club, and trot modes! Even just the two of us had a blast ~~

My friend can still sing so well, kekeke. We were both pretty tipsy so it got a little shaky hahaha, but the two of us had so much fun catching up after all this time.

Once you're drinking, the carb cravings hit and you just can't resist. Ended up ordering more ramyeon ~~ hahahaha seriously the best side dish in the world,, and the next day, ramyeon broth stains all over my sleeve ^_^...

Even with the lights off it's not too dark, great atmosphere. A Nampo-dong bar plenty of couples come to on dates too.

There's even a photo zone — such a well-prepared bar haha. If you want a fun round two or three in Nampo-dong, let's go to Juju Norae Town ~~~!! hahaha
