Mushroom pilaf and pasta at 5pm in Pocheon: Eoneu Dal restaurant
In short
Eoneu Dal is a white-toned Western restaurant on Jeongmun-dong-gil in Pocheon, Gyeonggi. Arriving at 5pm, exactly when Eoneu Dal's break time ends, the writer ordered beef tomato pasta, garlic shrimp pasta and mushroom pilaf, and the dining room was nearly full within 30 minutes even on a weekday. Two pastas plus the mushroom pilaf made a generous spread that suits both a date and a family dinner.

Arriving at 5pm: Eoneu Dal was full within 30 minutes
Eoneu Dal's break time ends at 5pm, so I timed my arrival right for then — and a few tables were already filled even though it was a weekday! Popular places really are different! After 30 minutes the restaurant was almost completely full. A place with a wait really is on another level!

White-toned interior and wide gaps between tables
Walk in and it's a clean, all-white interior overall! The mood is calm and pretty!!

It's not too dark or noisy, so it's great for chatting over a meal!! The tables are spaced pretty far apart too, so you don't feel the neighboring table at all — proper healing while you eat!

What we ordered at Eoneu Dal: two pastas and a mushroom pilaf
- Beef tomato pasta
- Garlic shrimp pasta
- Mushroom pilaf
- Cola
Everyone~~ look at this visual~~
If we'd only ordered pasta it might have felt a bit lacking, but ordering the pilaf alongside made the spread feel really full! If you're visiting with a few people, splitting the pasta and pilaf is great, great~

Mushroom pilaf
Eoneu Dal's mushroom pilaf doesn't use just one kind of mushroom — king oyster mushrooms and pine mushrooms come out grilled separately, so you get a variety of mushroom textures and aromas! Eating the rice together with the mushrooms is really filling~ filling~, so it's great paired with the pasta~

Garlic shrimp pasta
The garlic shrimp pasta has finely chopped minari (Korean watercress) mixed in! The staff explained that you should mix the minari in well as you eat, so I mixed the pasta noodles, shrimp, minari, zucchini and mushrooms all together evenly! The garlic aroma comes through subtly~ subtly~, and the minari adds a fragrant note, and eating it together with the shrimp makes the texture work really well!

Beef tomato pasta
The beef tomato pasta comes with grilled beef on top plus ground beef mixed generously into the tomato sauce — a pasta with plenty of meat! The staff explained it's tastiest scooped up together with the sauce, so instead of just eating the noodles I scooped up plenty of the sauce too, and I could really taste the sauce's richness more than its tanginess!

The sauce plus the chew of the beef made it great, great~
Is Eoneu Dal a good meal stop near Pocheon Art Valley?
If you're looking for somewhere to eat near Pocheon Art Valley, Eoneu Dal is the spot! With everything from pasta to pilaf on the menu, it works well for a date and just as well for a family meal! Even on a weekday, customers started coming in from 5pm and seats filled up fast, so if you're planning a visit, I'd recommend timing it for right when break time ends, like I did!
The tables are spaced generously and the restaurant itself is clean, so it's great for talking while you eat! The food overall was clean-tasting and the atmosphere calm — Eoneu Dal was a place I could enjoy a relaxed meal ♥
