I wanted to tidy up my hairstyle and get a bit of a refresh, so I went looking for an Apgujeong Rodeo hair salon. This time I visited Biorn Hair, near Apgujeong Rodeo Station! I booked through Naver Reservation and headed over haha.

Walking in, the shop felt clean and spacious. It had a bright, pleasant atmosphere overall, and the staff greeted me kindly, so my first impression was pretty great haha. Biorn Hair is right by the station and has a lot of skilled designers, so there were quite a lot of customers there!!

The reason I went looking for a Gangnam hair salon that day was honestly because my hair condition was a bit serious haha. Scalp scaling at Biorn Hair: aqua punch, aroma oil, and a scalp pack

I booked scalp scaling plus a cut that day. The scalp scaling included aroma oil and even a scalp pack, so it felt like a more thorough care session than I expected. While getting the scalp scaling, it felt like the buildup and dead skin cells on my scalp were being cleared out thoroughly. He used a machine called an aqua punch to remove the dead skin and buildup from my scalp, and it felt surprisingly refreshing, in a good way haha. Add the scalp pack on top of that, and my scalp was really pampered that day lol. And then, finally, the cut!

How the layered cut turned out on curly hair

This is me after the cut — definitely a different feel from before, right? lol Even though only the length was trimmed a bit, tidying up the damaged parts changed the overall look.

I went with a layered cut, and since I have some natural curl, he was careful to cut it so it wouldn't puff up too much.

He especially checked several times to make sure the front section would fall naturally instead of sticking out haha. He kept checking in on the look I wanted and trimmed it little by little, which I really liked.

Above all, he kept checking throughout the service whether I was uncomfortable in any way and made sure I could relax, so I felt at ease the whole time I was at the salon. After finally getting my hair neatly tidied up and my scalp properly cared for, I felt refreshed in a way that lifted my mood too haha.
