Rainy-day low-acidity drip coffee and thin cookies: Central Site
In short
Central Site Yeonnam is a specialty drip coffee café on Yeonhui-ro in Mapo, Seoul. The writer tried a low-acidity Guatemala Entre Volcanes washed coffee alongside a moist tiramisu soaked in espresso and a thin cookie bought on the way out. On a rainy day, the quiet third floor is a great spot to enjoy coffee and dessert.

Today I visited Central Site Yeonnam, a specialty coffee shop in Yeonnam-dong. I was looking for a Yeonnam-dong café and heard the drip coffee was great, plus the vibe looked nice, so I went with Mini. The coffee was delicious, but honestly the tiramisu was so rich and moist that it stole the show.

Where to find Central Site Yeonnam
Central Site Yeonnam sits on the road connecting Hongdae to Yeonnam-dong. So it's a convenient stop whether you're looking for Hongdae cafés or Yeonnam-dong cafés.

How I picked a bean with no sourness
This is the menu at Central Site Yeonnam. Since it's known for specialty coffee, we both ordered drip coffee. When I asked about the beans, the staff explained everything kindly haha. I don't like sourness, so they recommended a bean with no acidity and I ordered that.

You can smell the beans here before ordering, so my friend and I sniffed our way through all of them together. She picked one with a sweet, fruity aroma. It was fascinating how different each bean smelled.

How fast does the tiramisu sell?
This place is also known as a dessert spot in Yeonnam-dong, and the tiramisu is super popular. It was flying off the shelves. When I arrived, all three rows were empty, and the staff kept restocking. If it sells like this on a weekday, weekends must be wild. Some people came just to take tiramisu to go.

Once you pick your bean, you get to smell it first. You can sit at the bar and watch the coffee being brewed, then smell the freshly brewed coffee — it smelled really fragrant and lovely.

The difference between the 2nd and 3rd floor vibes
After the sniffing, the coffee is brought to your table. The left is the 2nd floor, the right is the 3rd floor. The 2nd floor had a livelier atmosphere, while the 3rd floor was quieter.

Here are our two drip coffees and the tiramisu. The tiramisu is so pretty!!!! The drip coffee came with a single big block of ice, which made it look even better.

How the tiramisu tasted
The tiramisu's sponge was completely soaked in espresso, topped with soft cream and a dusting of cocoa powder. The sponge, soaked through with espresso, was incredibly delicious. I wondered — is this coffee-famous place also secretly a tiramisu-famous place?? haha

Comparing the two drip coffees
My friend drank the summer special bean: Colombia Campo Hermoso Caturra Honey Grape Mosto Co-Fermentation. With notes of grape, candy, Welch's, and tropical fruit, it had a fragrant fruitiness with a touch of acidity and a clean finish. My friend loved it.

Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed — this is what I drank. I picked it because they said it's the least acidic and nuttiest among the specialty beans. It was a nutty, clean americano with almost no bitterness and a really clean finish.

It kept raining on and off that day, so we got to watch the rain — such an atmospheric scene. If you're looking for a good-vibe café in Yeonnam-dong, I'd recommend this place.

The thin cookie I bought on the way out
On the way out, we each bought a cookie — it had that trendy thin cookie texture, crunchy and just sweet enough, and disappeared in seconds.... Eating this made me want to bake, so I'm planning to make my own thin cookies at home haha.
Wrap-up
If you're looking for a Yeonnam-dong café that does great hand-drip coffee and desserts, I recommend Central Site Yeonnam!! The owner explained the coffee so kindly and brewed it with such care that it tasted even better. The tiramisu was also amazing, and it's the kind of place that comes to mind when you want a light coffee and dessert. Somewhere I'd love to revisit whenever I'm around Hongdae or Yeonnam-dong.
