It had been ages since I’d had frozen pork belly, so I went to a great meat spot near Sindang Station! This time, I visited Beefjeong Gogi Jip, a Sindang Station Korean barbecue restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great-quality meat!
Finding Beefjeong Gogi Jip from Sindang Station

I was looking for somewhere to eat meat around Sindang and ended up here; it was pretty easy to get to. It’s conveniently located near Sindang Station, so it’s easy to visit by public transport too!

There are especially lots of restaurants and bars nearby, so it’s also a great route for carrying on to a second round after barbecue.

The owner is apparently a devoted fan of Culinary Class Wars, haha.
A cool, open-door dining atmosphere

The dining room is on the compact side, but the tables were more widely spaced than I expected, so it didn’t feel cramped. The overall vibe is cool and casual!

Best of all, the weather was absolutely gorgeous on the day I visited, so they had the doors wide open. A gentle breeze came in, and it almost felt like eating outdoors—it was so nice 🌿

There’s a playful side to the interior, which was fun haha. It had just the right atmosphere for comfortably eating meat and having a drink with friends.
Choosing from beef and pork dishes

Beefjeong Gogi Jip sells both beef and pork, so there are plenty of menu options. There’s thin-sliced frozen pork belly, skirt steak with a deep beefy flavor, thick-cut cubed pork belly, and they say you can even order a meat cake for special occasions 🎂

They also say Beefjeong Gogi Jip personally inspects and selects its meat every day at Majang-dong. Maybe that’s why even the frozen pork belly was in such good condition.
Textured frozen pork belly with grilled kimchi

When I hear frozen pork belly, I picture something ultra-thin that you eat only crisped up, but this wasn’t too thin, so it still had a real meaty texture. It had savory juices once grilled and almost no off smell, so even though it was frozen pork belly, the meat itself felt high quality!

I especially grilled it with kimchi, and this combination was seriously delicious!!

I officially recognize this as a kimchi hotspot 👏 Put the kimchi on the grill and cook it until golden, and it cuts through the rich flavor of the frozen pork belly—I just kept reaching for more.

The banchan (Korean side dishes) were neatly presented too, with sides that paired well with the meat.

Add grilled kimchi and seasoned vegetables, and it makes for a fresh, balanced bite.
Jjagae-chi and a shake-up old-school lunchbox

There were so many side dishes too. They had nearly every dish you associate with a barbecue restaurant—Jjapagetti instant noodles, Buldak spicy noodles, soft tofu Yeol Ramen, kimchi cold noodles, and more—so choosing was half the fun.

The jjagae-chi, Jjapagetti with egg and cheese, came with meat and pa-kimchi (green onion kimchi), making it savory with a slightly punchy kick!

Jjapagetti and pa-kimchi are beyond words—so, so delicious, honestly.

And with the old-school lunchbox, you close the lid and give it a good shake to mix the rice and ingredients together—that’s part of the fun, right?

It was nicely savory, making it a satisfying way to finish after the meat. The side dishes were all tasty too, so it was great for ordering a few things and sharing.
A memorable meal at Beefjeong Gogi Jip

A place where you can enjoy a variety of beef and pork, with lots of choices from frozen pork belly and skirt steak to cubed pork belly!

I was especially satisfied by the quality of the frozen pork belly, and the grilled kimchi was so delicious that it really stayed with me. The vibe was cool and casual, and eating with the doors open on a lovely day made it even better.

If you’re looking for pork belly in Sindang-dong or somewhere relaxed to eat meat with friends, this could be a good choice. With all the different sides to enjoy as well, it suited drinks and group gatherings perfectly—a true Sindang favorite 🥩✨
