24-hour café in Seocho with a quick salmon sandwich: Selecto Coffee

Since the semester started, I've been living a really, really, ridiculously busy life... To the point where the day flies by in such a blur that I don't even have time for lunch 😭

Ha... I work this hard just to eat and live..!!!!!! I'm still a college student!!!!!!!!!! I can't even find time to sit down and eat properly—what is this? Tap tap... If you're asking why I'm busy all by myself... honestly, it's all karma of my own making, haha.

I'm the type who loves starting all kinds of new things, but I somehow stubbornly see every one of them through to the end, you know? So I do get results in my own way... but my body suffers just as much.. Yes, I just gave you a long explanation of my own karma 🤣

Anyway! I had a short break between classes and hurried over near Sinnonhyeon Station. I only had about 30 minutes, and I also had laptop work to get through, so I was planning to make do with a sandwich or bakery item at a café. These days there are so many cafés selling varied meal-replacement menus for people like me, and I am so happy about it—I love them..❤️

I wondered where to go, searched “Sinnonhyeon Station bakery café” on Naver, and one place immediately caught my eye. It was Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe! My only goal was laptop work + a sandwich to stand in for a meal, so there couldn't have been a better spot.

It was so easy to get to—just exit Sinnonhyeon Station through Exit 1 and walk a little. Even I, someone with absolutely no sense of direction, found it straight away!

When I walked in, the interior was way bigger and more comfortable than I expected! There were plenty of roomy seats, so it was perfect for opening up a laptop and getting work done!!! I thought students and office workers needing a workspace could hardly ask for more.

Torn between a sandwich and a bagel

I spent forever debating whether to have a sandwich or a bagel..!!!1 The sandwiches in the back looked so delicious... so sadly, I had to pass on the bagel!!

Looking at the menu, wow... there was an incredible variety of drinks as well as bakery items. Seriously, so much variety in both the bakery case and the drinks: coffee, lattes, ades, cleanse juices, tea, and smoothies. I was curious about the cleanse juices, but because of sleep issues, I just ordered an Americano.

And the real reason I came in! It was to choose something I could eat in place of a meal. I stood in front of the display for ages wondering whether to get a sandwich or a bagel, you know?! But this salmon sandwich looked seriously so good... Sadly, I saved the bagel for next time and decided on this sandwich right away!

Honestly, the sandwich quality was more than enough for a meal. The vegetables were so fresh. It was packed with filling, and the bread was substantial but soft, so I demolished it in 10 minutes and sorted out a whole meal.
