Uijeongbu BBQ buffet with 8 sauces and a tteokbokki bar: Muhan Paldo

I had all-you-can-eat thin-sliced pork belly for lunch in Uijeongbu, and since it was unlimited I got to eat a lot! It's a buffet-style spot, but the meat quality and lineup were surprisingly solid — let me give you an honest, detailed rundown of this Millak-dong (민락동) favorite.

Where do you park at Muhan Paldo Daepae? Free lot behind the building

Muhan Paldo Daepae Uijeongbu Millak Branch is a large restaurant with a spacious parking lot behind the building — free parking if you're eating there.

Inside the Uijeongbu Millak branch and its kids' playroom

The inside is really spacious with tons of seating, so it looks like it could easily handle big families or group visits. There's a restroom inside and plenty of baby chairs. Each table comes set with a big, homey tray and bowls for bringing food back.

On one side there's a playroom that feels like a kids' café — the little ones must love it. There's even a CCTV screen so you can keep an eye on them while you eat.

Six cuts at the self-serve meat corner

I went to the meat corner first. There are six varieties — han-woo thin-sliced pork/thin-sliced pork belly, pork neck, frozen pork belly, flower pork belly, and beef brisket — so at first I just brought back a little of everything. Regular pork belly restaurants these days charge 17,000 won per serving, so all-you-can-eat for 18,900 won is honestly such a relief.

The tteokbokki, ramyeon and eight-sauce self-bar

Besides the meat corner, there's a fried rice corner, a Hangang ramyeon (ramen) corner, a vegetable corner, and eight sauces — the ramyeon variety was great, but the sauces were the real highlight. Soy sauce, cheonggukjang (fermented soybean) sauce, gochujang (chili paste) sauce, salted shrimp sauce, makjang sauce, mustard sauce, perilla oil-soy sauce, and myeolchi (anchovy) sauce. As a tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) fanatic, I scooped that up first — it's tastier than most dedicated tteokbokki restaurants! Grab some even if you're already full, you won't regret it 👍

You just bring back whatever you like yourself, and having the big tray made it convenient. There was even bracken fern, which is rare to see at buffets. And you know grilling it in pork fat is amazing, right? Besides what I brought over, there was plenty to grill — bean sprouts, ham, potato, tofu, rice cake strips. I also brought back six sauces to dip things in, so nothing got boring and every bite tasted a little different.

I had lettuce wraps too, plus scallion and onion pickles — basically everything you'd find at a regular Korean BBQ place is at Muhan Paldo Daepae. Personally, the beef brisket and thin-sliced pork belly were so good I went back for two more plates and ate them up properly. I really wanted to try the Hangang ramyeon after all that meat, but I failed due to the risk of my stomach exploding..😭😭😭

Is Muhan Paldo Daepae worth it for a family meal?

But you can't skip fried rice — the Korean dessert! Everyone, please have fried rice as your final course. At the self-serve fried rice corner, mix in chopped kimchi, seaweed flakes, and scallions with a swirl of sesame oil, then make it yourself right on the grill plate — done in a flash 😆 It's the kind of tasty that helps digestion too 👍

And then we exit holding slushies each, haha 😂 There's warm heotgae tea and coffee at the entrance/exit too. I wrapped things up fully satisfied, slushie dessert and all. If you want to eat meat until you're stuffed in Uijeongbu, I'd recommend this for family meals or group gatherings 😀 The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, a nice place to linger.
