Pick-your-bean café in Yeonnam-dong: Peach Punch Geisha, Central Site

I love going to cafés so much, and I love café lattes and desserts, but... honestly I'm pretty clueless about coffee beans. Then I found <Central Site Yeonnam>, a Yeonnam-dong café with a ton of different beans that all sounded delicious, so I checked it out. It's in Yeonnam-dong and not far from Hongik Univ. Station, so it's easy to get to.

I'd always walked past it before, and it turns out it's a full three-floor café, with a great atmosphere. I also liked that it's open late.

The moment you walk in you see all kinds of beans on display. Looks like you can also buy beans separately to take home.

There's seating from the first floor all the way up to the third, and we sat on the second floor. Every floor was pleasantly dim and cozy.

This is the third floor — overall a black-toned interior. The weather's cool these days too, and the floor-to-ceiling windows made it feel really comfortable.

Each floor seems to have its own self-serve bar with water, tissues, and so on, and there's also a restroom.

How do you pick a bean? Barista recommendations and smelling the beans

Central Site Yeonnam has a huge range of beans, so you can pick according to your taste, and the baristas give really good recommendations. We didn't know what to choose either, so we asked for a recommendation, and they explained everything so kindly. Once you pick your beans, you also get to smell them while they're being brewed. We did the aroma test, went up to sit on the second floor, and they brought the coffee over to us.

The desserts you see right as you walk in — tiramisu, trifle, cookies — all looked so good.

I also looked at the coffee menu, and there were so many options that just reading the names didn't tell me much... of course there are flavor descriptions underneath, but if you ask the barista, they give amazing recommendations.

Besides choosing your own beans, there's a wide range of drinks too — lattes, non-coffee options, teas.

Colombia Finca Quebraditas Geisha Washed – Peach Punch, 12,000 won

This was the one they recommended trying first! Honestly, even the aroma test felt like something special. The fruity scent was genuinely amazing — and I always thought I didn't really like fruity, acidic coffee, you know? But this was completely my type... turns out I just didn't know coffee. It smells kind of like a refreshing, fruity tea, but there's definitely also that deep coffee flavor underneath. The aroma was so good and it wasn't overly bitter, so it was perfect with dessert too. The acidity wasn't overwhelming either, so it never felt like too much.

Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed, 8,000 won

This one was definitely heavier, more bitter, and deep in flavor. There was a subtle chocolate-like scent, plus a bit of that nutty, toasty character. Personally the Peach Punch was more my style, but this was delicious too. It's wild how different the flavor can be depending on the beans.

Classic tiramisu, 8,500 won

And now the moment we'd been waiting for — the tiramisu! Honestly, my friend and I both love dessert, but tiramisu isn't usually our favorite — this one, though, was so good. The cake layer was so moist it practically melted, and the cream was incredibly soft too.

Even though there's quite a lot of cream, it wasn't heavy at all, and the dark chocolate on top was just bitter enough to pair really well with the sweet cream. It seemed like maybe 70-80% dark chocolate. Overall the sweetness was well balanced, not too much, so it went down easily with the coffee.

And since this is a coffee-focused spot, the coffee soaked into the cake was genuinely delicious too. It paired so well with the coffee that I get why it's their signature dessert... the powder on top wasn't chalky at all — one of the best tiramisus I've had.

For a late-night caffeine fix~ Central Site Yeonnam is a Yeonnam-dong café where you can choose beans to your taste! The irresistibly fruity Peach Punch, the deep and nutty Guatemala, and the melt-in-your-mouth soft classic tiramisu — everything, both the coffee and the desserts, was genuinely delicious.

What I especially loved was that even someone like me who doesn't know much about beans could learn what I like, thanks to the baristas' great explanations. I especially recommend this to anyone looking for a good-atmosphere café in Yeonnam-dong, or anyone who wants to try picking out unusual beans.
