Why we chose Central Site Yeonnam in Yeonnam-dong

Central Site Yeonnam is a hand-drip café at 29-1 Yeonhui-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, near the Yeonnam-dong intersection. On a cool, breezy autumn day perfect for a walk, I went with a close younger friend to share a cup of coffee haha.

The open 2nd-floor window seat, looking out at the street scene while taking in the coffee aroma and calm atmosphere, made this a space that really put my mind at ease!

Central Site Yeonnam's hours are Monday–Friday 08:00–22:00 and Saturday–Sunday 08:30–22:00. The address is 29-1 Yeonhui-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Parking: there's no dedicated lot for the café, so I'd recommend using the nearby private parking lot (Urban Port), about a one- to two-minute walk away. Takeout and delivery service are also available.

What we ordered: two drip coffees and tiramisu prices

What we ordered at Central Site Yeonnam was two cups of hand-drip coffee and a classic tiramisu for ₩8,500. My friend and I took a seat and carefully looked over the menu before deciding haha. After checking the card pictured, here's the lineup we chose:

After ordering, if you wait a bit at the 1st-floor bar seats, the barista walks you through the drip process, letting you smell the beans themselves first,

then the freshly ground grounds second, and finally, third, the grounds after hot water is poured over them and they puff up like bread — three separate steps of sniffing!

Getting to smell the aroma directly as the drip came together step by step was such an intuitive way to experience it — surprising and a genuinely different kind of fun.

How the Geisha Washed and Caturra Honey tasted

The Colombia Finca Quebraditas Geisha had yellow peach, apricot, and white grape notes blooming harmoniously across the palate — it felt like sipping a smooth tea. The Colombia Campo Hermoso had grape, Welch's-grape, and tropical fruit flavors swirling sweetly, showing off a different, distinctive charm of coffee.

Classic tiramisu for 8,500 won

The classic tiramisu (₩8,500) we had for dessert wasn't overly sweet and had a clean, composed flavor that paired perfectly with the nutty, fragrant hand-drip coffee.

The moist cream kept everything balanced, and I happily cleared the plate.

Seating floor by floor and the second-floor window daybed seat

Central Site Yeonnam sits slightly tucked away near the Yeonnam-dong intersection, so it doesn't feel overly busy outside — more like a quiet pocket.

The space is set up across three floors: the 1st floor has the counter and bar seats, while the 2nd floor has large tables and a restroom, all set up to make lingering comfortable.

We settled into the window daybed seat on the 2nd floor and spent our time there! Looking down through the window at the cars passing on the road and the people walking by gave off an energetic vibe while somehow also making me feel more relaxed.

Thanks to the open view, it's a great spot for chatting with a close friend over time — a nice Yeonnam-dong date spot too,

and it turned out to be exactly the kind of Hongdae date course that couples would love. It's also more than enough of a mood-lifting Hongdae café for a solo visit, just resting and watching the view outside the window.

Final verdict on Central Site Yeonnam

It was a day of soaking in the cool autumn breeze, experiencing the drip aroma the barista personally guided us through, and spending a peaceful time admiring the view from the quiet 2nd-floor window daybed seat!

I really got to feel the depth of the coffee's aroma, and I'm definitely tempted to go back — such a charming Hongdae spot haha.

Looking back at the four-cut photo booth pictures my friend and I took before the café, with the night view in the background, we chatted and shared some worries too — such a fun time! Ah, thank you~!

This will stick in my memory as a Yeonnam-dong café spot that handles a diverse lineup of handcrafted beans with real care, and a Yeonnam-dong dessert spot where the dessert pairing really stood out. Thanks to its tidy, well-kept setup, it's a Yeonnam café worth dropping by anytime!
