Pocheon café with fire-gazing and Malenka cake: Geurine Oasis

I visited Geurine Oasis beside Gomo Reservoir

My husband and I were in the Gomori area of Pocheon and visited Geurine Oasis, a Pocheon café known for its fire-gazing and Gomo Reservoir views.

We arrived at the parking lot first, and perhaps because it was a weekday, there was plenty of parking. They say you can use a nearby public parking lot if it is full.

Dogs cannot enter the main building

Before going into the main building, I saw that Geurine Oasis allows dogs, but dogs are not permitted in the main building because food is prepared there.

The interior had an overall warm feel, and the tables were nicely spaced apart, which I liked.

Cakes and dessert breads were neatly displayed in the showcase. As you would expect from a bakery café, there was a wide variety of breads, too.

They also had children's drinks ready for visitors coming with kids.

You order at the kiosk, and we chose an iced Americano, Lotus Vanilla Affogato, and Honey Marlenka Walnut Cake.

After looking around the main building, we headed over to the annex.

The annex's biggest draw is that it looks out over Gomo Reservoir. You can sip coffee inside the café while taking in the wide-open reservoir scenery, so I think the annex seats would be especially popular.

Outdoor fire-gazing tables and dog area

You can reach the outdoor area by walking between the main building and annex. The outdoor seats have open parasols, tables, and chairs, so it looked like such a nice place to eat on a beautiful day like these. The weather was so lovely that we picked a spot outside.

And the reason Geurine Oasis is known for fire-gazing is that every outdoor table has its own fire-gazing zone. If you would like to use one, you can order it at the kiosk. Be sure to check the safety rules before using it~~!!!!!!! I was curious how pretty the atmosphere would be once the fires are lit in the evening. We are planning to come back one evening to try it.

Gomo Reservoir is also such a great place to walk dogs, so I thought it would be wonderful to have a dog-friendly café nearby. Geurine Oasis even has a dog run, so it seems like an amaaazing café for dog lovers. There is also a notice for visitors bringing dogs, so be sure to check it!!

I also took a photo of Gomo Reservoir from our outdoor seat. It was such a lovely view for zoning out while drinking coffee.

Honey Marlenka Walnut Cake and affogato

Our menu items finally came out ♥

The Marlenka was chewy with a subtle honey sweetness. The walnuts gave it a nutty flavor, and it was not overly sweet, so it went nicely with coffee.

Pouring espresso over the ice cream made it sweet and delicious.

The Americano came in an eco-friendly reusable cup. Since it can be reused, lots of people seemed to take theirs home. I thought that was really nice.

Lastly, we went up to the rooftop. There were seats there as well. I think the rooftop would be lovely once the weather gets a little cooler.

From above, I could see the café's outdoor area and Gomo Reservoir all at once. The weather was especially beautiful that day, so it looked gorgeous in photos, too. If you are looking for a café around Gomori, I think it would be nice to stop by Geurine Oasis, where you can enjoy coffee and bakery treats along with outdoor reservoir-view seats and fire-gazing.
