Pocheon bakery café with terrace cocoa pretzels: Geurine Oasis

I went for a drive around Pocheon, had a meal, and then looked for a café near Gomori because the weather was so lovely! With a spacious setup including a main building, annex, and outdoor terrace, it was a great place to relax outside on a nice day 🤍 If you are looking for a large bakery café in Pocheon or a café near Pocheon’s Gomo Reservoir, it would make a nice stop on a driving route!

Geurine Oasis, a large bakery café in Pocheon

Today’s café is Geurine Oasis (그리네 오아시스), a large bakery café in Pocheon. It has not only a main building but also an annex and outdoor areas, so it is quite a sizeable place! Geurine Oasis is located on the first floor at 442 Jugeopsan-ro, Soheul-eup, Pocheon-si.

Geurine Oasis is divided into a main building and an annex, with an outdoor terrace and a field as well! I imagine the outdoor spaces are especially popular on nice days, haha.

We sat on the terrace at first, and stayed there for a while because there was a breeze and the atmosphere was lovely. As the sunlight gradually got stronger, though, it became hot faster than expected, so we eventually moved into the cool main building, haha. In a pleasantly cool season, it would be so nice to spend time on the outdoor terrace with a cup of coffee ☺️

Dog-friendly areas

If you are visiting with a dog, it is best to check the areas in advance! Dogs are restricted from the main building, and are allowed only in the annex outdoor area and the field. If you bring your dog, use the annex outdoor space or field rather than the inside of the main building.

Spacious main building and annex

Inside had a different atmosphere from outdoors. The space itself was roomy, making it easy to sit comfortably, and after getting hot outside, being indoors really was the best, haha. If you are looking for a large bakery café in Pocheon, this should suit anyone who prefers plenty of space.

Coffee and bakery menu

Geurine Oasis sells a variety of baked goods as well as coffee. We kept it simple that day and ordered coffee and a pretzel!

Since it was hot, we both ordered refreshing iced Americanos. An iced Americano after spending time outdoors really does taste the best, haha.

What we had on the terrace and indoors

The iced Americano was a straightforward, easy coffee to drink. We started drinking it on the terrace, then moved to the main building when it got hot, and sipping it in the cool air-conditioning breeze definitely made me feel revived, haha. If you want a drink that is not overly sweet when stopping at a café on a Pocheon drive, an iced Americano seems like a safe choice.

The cocoa pretzel we ordered for dessert has a sweet chocolate filling inside, so it is sweet overall. It had the characteristic texture of a pretzel on the outside and sweet chocolate inside, making it nice to have with coffee. Since the Americano was slightly bitter, the sweet cocoa pretzel paired well with both the sweetness and coffee flavor.

Geurine Oasis was a lovely place to have a cup of coffee on the outdoor terrace after a drive to Pocheon on a nice day. We relaxed on the terrace at first, then moved to the main building when it got hot, so it was nice to experience both the indoor and outdoor spaces.
